Upcoming Events

The “No Bread Challenge” meeting will be held on October 18 at 7:30pm (had to be changed because of the marathon). We will go over the guidelines and answer any questions you may have. You don’t have to be in the Challenge to attend the meeting. If you want to enter the Challenge, please submit your $10 entry fee to a coach before October 20. The first day of the Challenge will be October 24.

I registered for a marathon. Since August 23rd, I’ve ran a total of 6.6km. So I’m going to put CrossFit to the test. I also challenged Jason Fleming from CF Fredericton to it. He accepted and we’ll be “racing” on October 23. Marco and Martine are registered for the half and they haven’t been logging tons of miles either. So I challenge all of you. Step out of your comfort zone. Register for the Legs for Literacy. They have a 5k, 10k, half and full….something for everyone!

Get your costumes ready, because the annual CrossFit Moncton Halloween Party will be held on October 29. All members and significant others are welcome. Please sign up on the whiteboard so we can plan the event.

Ever wanted to try CrossFit with swimming? An open water swim was a part of the CrossFit Games this year, and it did not look easy. On November 4 (confirmation pending) from 8:30-9:30pm, there will be a swimming WOD at the Riverview Aquatic Center. There is a class limit of 20 and a small fee of $5 to cover the rental of the pool. Please pay to reserve your spot.

  1. 10km Run —> 63:12

    PR for distance by 3km. Took a few walking breaks but tried to maintain a 6 minute pace while running. Really happy to reach this goal! Two years ago I couldn’t run a full 800m.
