    Not only was 14.5 a very blissful welcome back to crossfit last night (after taking 2 weeks off…) I didn’t think it could get much sweeter – only to wake up to this… for 10 seconds I actually thought 1000 lunges was the cherry on top to my return back to a healthy lifestyle…

    1. Haha me too. And then I’m wondering what tomorrow’s wod will be and how I’ll do it with post- 1000 lunge quads!! I am a 1000% Crossfit nutcase

    1. You do NOT want to do that!! We used to do 400 lunges for time and it would cripple us for a week after.

    2. Yup, me too… I’ve thought “but won’t that kill me?” after reading a posted WOD too many times to trust that instinct any longer 😛

    Was very happy that the 1000 lunges was a joke. As I was shovelling ice this morning I thought… I’m doin this for lunges?! Hahaha

    Migraine today, wanted to see if a WOD would help. Oddly enough, it did…for a little while anyway.

    Didn’t go for a PR, felt a bit woozy in the last set.

    Deck of Death (First attempt at this one, can’t wait to try it when feeling 100%)

    Completed 232 reps +2 rows (got ALL THE BURPEES)

    I might have looked drunk/stoned during the WOD, but I felt good for having at least attempted it. My favourite part of this one was the drive home in the storm…with no wipers. Thankfully Mac is a phenomenally good driver.

  10. Ok….I have to admit I was fooled! I am on vacation this week and thought I would tackle this crazy amount of lunges at home! I did 250 in 10 minutes and thought to myself….this is Crazy!!!! Few minutes later noticed the WOD had been changed….you got me! 🙂

    I got to share the rack with some very awesome ladies.

    WOD rx’d: I had around 10 cards left, and a lot of them were face cards. I don’t really care how many cards I have left anymore, all I know is that after 4 years I still don’t get through the damned deck. Although I do think it was a small PR. I also did 3 cards out of Maria’s deck by accident before I realized I was on the wrong deck. (12 reps) 🙂

    My pullups have gotten a bit weak with my shoulder injury so I need to work on strengthening them again.

      1. Don’t be too hard on yourself Amanda… Better to respect an injury than to get a pr…

    Lighter than my 75% but managed to keep my heels down and my chest and elbows up which is what I was working to do.

    Deck of death:
    40 cards remaining. I had a run of hearts/burpees that would make a professional gambler proud!! Also got both rows.

    Loving the wods this week; Annie (by choice) followed by deck of death (big time fav). Hardly wait to see what’s up for tomorrow

    Not really a PR since I did ring rows this time, last time had used some bands and had more reps left. I haven’t used bands since we had no band december!

    1. Oh. I also got my 2 rows in a row… flipped the first and all rowers were taken, so flipped the next card and the joker came again so when I got a rower I just did 1000m. On the positive note, I didn’t lose time on the rower transition?
