That’s probably the most unusual blog title, but it’s true. Let me explain.
Assisted living facilities exist because as people age, they lose their functional abilities. Things like going up and down stairs, getting groceries, and being able to sit on the toilet become impossible without assistance. They essentially lose their freedom.
It is absolutely critical that we stay active as we age. That can look like a lot of different things – walking, biking, going to the gym.
I hear it often – “I’m too old to do CrossFit”. It’s just another excuse that people tell themselves that has no validity. At CrossFit Moncton, we have people of all ages and abilities that do group classes and private sessions to help build strength and mobility.
Most people that come to CrossFit Moncton aren’t here to break any records, or win competitions. Their main goal, like my own, is to live a long, healthy, and functional life.
And if you don’t think that’s important, just watch this video…
Well that caught me off guard. Good video. Tear jerker
2020 is really a weird year, we can either say it was the worst, or we can say it made us change things up
I never thought I would be starting Crossfit at 52, let alone waking up early in the mornings to go do it, oh and loving it!
And that video hits you right in the feels..
That video…wow! So many reasons to keep moving. Thanks for sharing Kevin.
