I saw this report on CTV the other night too. Below is the written report from the CTV site which gives more detail about the study and also some example of what falls into the high and low-glycemic index categories.
1 year ago today I had my first group CF class.
Over the last 12 months Kevin has taught me how to kick my own ass safely and effectively, and all you other wonderful folks have encouraged me while I’ve been doing it. There has been tons of progress and a couple of set backs, but over all CF has changed my life for the better.
Thanks Kevin and thanks to all my other CF’ers who make Crossfit Moncton the wonderful place that it is.
I’m really looking forward to the next 12 months.
Enjoy the WOD today!
Marc H.

Hey posting this wod for my wife( even thought she is not a crossfitter yet) this wod is from Friday morning 4:10
Wux 8 hours of contractions
Wod
Amrap of pushes in 20 mins
Total: 8 pound 9 ounce girl Summer (no middle name yet) Dryden
Really proud of the results 3 hour pr over last time!
First time doing this workout & it kicked my ass! I might of puked if I could of found the energy to get off the floor. Glad it’s over, great work everyone and have a nice weekend!
Gabrielle
Warm up times 2
WOD Tabata you gotta be kidding me – the home version
burpees 7-6-5-5-5-5-5-5
pullups (green and yellow band strict)13-12-6-6-6-5-6-4
squats 17-16-15-15-14-14-12-12
SDHP (55#)10-6-6-6-6-6-6-6
total reps 263
My left groin area started to hurt on the first set of SDHP so I focused on stretching in between and slowed things down not to injur myself for the following rounds… The pullups and the burpees (wooden floors) were by far the hardest part of that workout for me. It took everything I had in me to motivate myself to do this WOD today, but I’m glad I did it 🙂 It always feels so good to sweat!
I used the WOD application on my iPhone to time my rounds – yay for technology 🙂
Gabrielle
Oh and I did burpees instead of wallballs only because I don’t own a medball yet… Santa, are you reading our site? 😀
You really got to be kidding me Kevin!!!
Too easy! Put it on a 20′ decorated trailer full of kids! Maybe even Santa!
Compare to Nov 28, 2009
