Tabata FGB

Complete 40 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest. Perform 8 consecutive intervals of each of the following exercises:

Wall-ball (20# @ 10ft)
Sumo deadlift high-pull (75/55#)
Box Jump (20″ box)
Push-press (75/55#)

There is no additional rest between exercises.

Each exercise is scored by the weakest number of reps in each of the eight intervals. The score is the total of the scores from the five stations.

    Wall Ball – 10
    SDHP – 10
    Box Jump – 15
    Push Press – 10
    Burpees – 4

    Total = 49

  2. WOD: as Rxed
    WallBalls- 3 reps (first 20s interval had 3 due to sucky transition)
    SDHP – 7 (hardest one of them all for me!)
    BoxJumps – 9 ( shoulda aimed for 15- choose wrong on this one – finished each interval with 10 secs left in 20sec interval)
    Push press – 9 (same as box jump – finished each interval in 12-13sec – shoulda at least did 10-11)
    Burpees – 7 (perfect # of reps)

    Total = 35 (started with Pushpress)

    Can’t wait to try this again! This one was tough for sure but it really is kinda tactical and u need to know yourself, how u would fatigue over 8 intervals with each exercise, where u start is important especially with sucky transition from burpees to wall balls wrt distance to walk, Choosing the right # of reps in your First interval is so important. You choose to low and u waste time – you choose too high and u kill urself to maintain through 7 more rounds and gas urself!! Ugh ! Can not wait to try again!!     The first three rounds of each cycle were all about finding your pace. Thanks Ron for your help! … really enjoyed that. Thought it’s be fun to compare this to the real FGB. Today I did 247 total reps. My PR for FGB is 248. Similar scores but definitely not the same workout. Today’s version felt much better!

    1. Ahh…very interesting observation. My FGB is 401, and I scored 394 today. Definitely not the same workout though.

  7. Did the intro workout today with a few the drop-in
    Result: 9 + 10 sit ups
    A little more than a year ago, I did 4 + 10 sit ups and
    on Sept.4: 8 + 9Sq
    So that’s a PR by 21 reps and more than double my first one!
