September 11 Memorial Workout

Today marks the date of the tragic event when the 3 planes were highjacked and the Twin Towers were brought down. There were 24 Canadians killed on this date in 2001. It would be an honor to give each one of them, one minute of our time for the following workout.

24 minutes of:
5 pullups
10 pushups
15 squats

  1. Let’s train hard tonight for those guys!

I hope the temperature will go up a bit tonight because this morning is a really cold one!!

Can wait for that WOD…it’s been a while since we did pullups/pushups in a same WOD!

  2. I really like working out in the cold. One of my very first crossfit workouts was outside with some ice and little snow on the ground. I was flipping tires, and swinging a sledgehammer. It was a lot of fun!

I’m looking forward to this one tonight. See ya later.

  3. sorry folks, heading to the velodrome tonight for bike workout.
i’ll see you all for CF Dieppe saturday though

  4. Pierre and I were head to head up until round 10, and then pushups started to take a toll on me.

    Finished with 21 rounds + 5 pullups + 9 pushups

    Good job everyone!!

  5. Good job again everyone tonight!
It was a fun WOD as usual. 🙂

Like Kevin said we were head to head till maybe 13-14…thanks Kev for that, I pushed harder because of that! But you are faster than me on the squats no matter what.

Finished with 23 rounds exactly not more not less….2 sec before the end!
It is almost 1 round per minute.

Can`t wait to see what CF Dieppe is preparing for us on saturday.
    See you guys there.

  6. I guess I shouldn’t be complaining….110 pullups, 219 pushups and 315 squats is alright in 24 minutes.

    Nice work again Pierre!!

  7. CFWU x 3 (minus pull-ups and dips)

    Max Double-Unders: 97 (PR is 106)

    AMRAP in 24mins of:
    5 Pull-Ups
    10 Push-Ups
    15 Squats

    16 Rounds

This is about on par with my “Cindy” PR (13 Rounds – May 20). Curses on you push-ups, curses!

  8. Work stuff is wreaking havoc on my schedule… I pulled together an “Eric” special at the YMCA at 9pm… had to make due with some equipment already taken…

    For time:
    1 Mile Run
    10 10 10 10 Bench Press 155lbs
    10 10 10 10 Decline Bench Press 135lbs
    10 10 10 dumbell curls 40 lbs
    10 10 10 tricep extensions 60 lbs
50 pushups (during which my watch stopped,)

Time was just after 28 minutes, not 100% certain, I hate it when that happens…. But I totally see a major difference when doing weights after 2 months of CF, I used to have to wait in between sets, now you just want to keep going! Awesome!

See you next week, I am away this weekend. Enjoy CF Dieppe Grand Opening!
