We’ve been working on pulling strength, getting under the bar faster, split jerks. Let’s see if it pays off. As always, we encourage moderate increases in PRs. That means, no jumps larger than 15#. Fitness is a marathon, not a sprint, so take your time.

    Happy with the #5 PR, did not feel very strong this morning.

    I was very frustrated with myself this morning. Felt stupidly weak. 95# was my 1RM last time. Today my first 2 fails at 90# were on the jerk, the last was the clean. I just couldn’t make it work today.

    Again felt heavy and difficult to get low enough.

    Was not feeling it at all today. Need to practice the jerk with moderate load, I have clearly not learned how to do it properly under load. Cleans felt heavy too.

    This was the first time I had done a 1RM for clean and Jerk. My Clean weight was 115, but my jerk weight was 95. Was happy to get my jerk to my clean weight. I almost got the 120, but bottomed out on the squat clean and dropped the bar. I wanted to try again but was out of time. Next time.

    Wasn’t necessarily looking forward to today because of my shoulder. But didn’t do to bad considering
    155 wu/ 185/205/225 f twice/225 good.
    Mentally I defeated myself a little on this. But Great to be getting stuff overhead again!

    315 for all sets plus some pauses in there, felt pretty good.
