Lieutenant ANDREW RICHARD NUTTALL, 30, from the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (1 PPCLI), based in Edmonton, Alberta, serving as a member of the 1 PPCLI Battle Group was killed by an improvised explosive device that detonated during a joint foot patrol near the village of Nakhonay in Panjwaii District, about 25 km southwest of Kandahar City on December 23, 2009.

  1. I missed yesterday and Grace is my favourite lady so I came in for OG to give it a go.

    185# went up easy(ish) but I just couldn’t get the 190#. I was getting the bar up high, I just couldn’t get under it. All mental.

  2. First hero WOD- ugh mob and Wu x1 400m row, WOD= Nutts : 20 push ups, 15 dead lifts at 45#, 25 box jumps, 25 ring rows, 40 wall balls, 200 single under skipping and 400 m row. 27:44 for time

  3. Annnnnd Hero Month is upon us! Man these are tough but I do like a good chipper.

    First time doing HSPU Rx in a wod (other then during the open, when I got 2 reps and did a shit ton of negatives)!!! Possibly first time for 30″ box jumps in a wod too, not sure. What a work out that was though, ready for 2 days off in the sun!

  4. After being away for a month, I was so excited to do this WOD this morning… *sarcasm* but I did it! I told myself I had to come back someday! I survived 🙂

    Nutts: 40 min time cap
    20 HR pushups (from toes, yay!)
    15 Deadlifts (70% @ 140#)
    25 box jumps (18″ box + 2 x 25# plates = 24″?)
    50 ring rows (1 step back)
    100 wallballs… (10#/ 10′) I struggled so much here! I kept thinking “this is impossible. It hurts,” but halfway through started thinking “pick up the ball, pick it up” and had a much easier time doing them.
    600 singles (wow, my legs hurt. Just keep going!)
    400m run with 25# plate (run? I don’t think I can call that a jog even! Lol)

    40 wallballs… (6#) hurt my ankle after about 15,but took a break and finished
    400 singles
    400m run (changed to 400m row after the ankle incident 🙁 )

  9. WOD rx = 30:06 rx

    First time rx pr of a 2:20. First time doing butterfly pull-ups in a WOD and did all them for all 50 in sets of 5. Wall balls and DUs had big breaks (sets of 10/20 respectively) and that’s what chewed up time. Deadlifts @ 250 felt good, all unbroken.

    20 hr pushups(on our knees)
    15 deadlifts @ 70% – we both used 100#
    25 box jumps – she used a squat box(?#), I used the orange box(?#)
    50 pull ups(ring rows)
    100 wallballs – 10# ( went lighter because of high reps)
    200 du, Paige did 600 singles
    400m run with 10# plate..
    Me – 26:46 – I probably should have gone with 12# wallballs
    Paige – I am a horrible sister.. I didn’t mark it down!
