Kevin… can a current non-member come to the swim wod tomorrow if there any spaces left available after the members have spoken up? i’d love to try one!

  6. Hi fellow CF’ers, that is my son Nick in the photo, he has been out of hockey for a week with a concussion and just when I thought everything was fine he fainted in class yesterday, so the road to recovery is longer. WHAT IS MY POINT TO THIS? Well he saw the photo and it put a smile on his face, but it was nice to know he is now part of the Crossfit moncton family, thanks coach Kevin.

    1. Oh Ron, happy to hear that by Nick seeing his picture it put a smile on his face! We’ve had concussions in our house too, all the best to your son. Wishing him a speedy recovery so he can lace those skates up 🙂

  7. very inspiring Corinna. You rule!

About the newsletter: WOW! Two very inspiring ladies. Congratulations on all the positive changes you have made Heather. They are really paying off for you. Corinna, thank you for sharing your story. I have even more respect and admiration for you. Persevering through the physical limitations your condition placed on you is a HUGE accomplishment; one that must make even the toughest crossfit WOD seem like child’s play 😉 If you ever hear me whining about being sore, please feel free to kick my ass! LOL

After reading this month’s article, it’s hard to find the words to express how meaningful and inspiring both Heather and Corinna have been and continue to be for me and others .

Heather, I would have never known your battle and victory with osteoporosis, it amazes me. I want to share your story with both my Mother and Aunt who too respectively suffer from arthritis and osteoporos I hope it will inspire them 🙂

Corinna, we have spoken different times about your journey. While I may be a quiet observer, I’m a closet Corinna Wanna-Be 😉 Your work ethics, dedication and never give up can do attitude amaze me. Thank you so much for sharing and being such a strong supporter.

Little secret, I have a Crossfit “Binder” where I print off the articles, different stories, quotes and when I’m having a blah day or feel not so very motivated I pull it out and start to read through the different stories, Dec. 2011 article is being printed and added to my Crossfit Binder.

Again, thanks ladies for sharing such personal and inspiring stories.

    1. I think most of us are Corinna Wanna-Be’s however I must admit she is really pissing me off with those damm double unders……it’s just not fair that someone can do double unders for 4 days without stopping!

  10. Awsome story for the ladies in the newsletter!!
Ron, hope your young fella recovers quickly!

And finally I am predicting that BENDER will get 84 reps for todays WOD.

Sorry Bender couldn’t pass it up.

  11. I have not visited the site in awhile…but I am so happy that I did today. Loved the newsletter. Corinna, your story is so inspiring. You are such a strong, beautiful woman! Keep it up! Crazy to think what you have accomplished. Can’t wait to workout with you again in Feb!

  12. Corinna, you have inspired me since I joined Crossfit, but even more so now, thanks for sharing your story with us! I too am a Corinna wannabe. 🙂

Heather – AWESOME!! Isn’t it amazing what a nutritious diet & healthy lifestyle will do to our body?!

Ron – Hoping for a speedy recovery for your little ninja!

    Enjoyed this workout!
I did not enjoy the 4 minute plank(s)!

  13. Corinna you are such an inspiration for all of us!!
Is funny that you felt intimidated by other Crossfitters when you just started because YOU are definitely intimidating now for those ones as myself that haven’t been here long, and I said in a good way.
Is always inspiring to do a WOD beside you, make me feel that one day I’ll be at that level!!!
    and I am definitely a Corinna Wanna-Be!! 🙂

  14. I’m also a Corinna wanna-be! Thank you for sharing your stories Corinna and Heather, I have always thought of you as strong inspirational women, but I had no idea how strong. My motivation has slackened lately, but you’ve just given me a much needed kick in the butt! 🙂

  15. Congratulations Corinna! I’m happy to have crossed paths with you. Keep up the hard work, and play safe 🙂 Love.

  16. I’m also a Corinna wanna-be! I admirer you even more now that I know your story! And let’s not forget about Heather! You are also an inspiration to us all! When I explain to people what is crossfit and I can see them putting on a “Holey sh$% balls,Thats too hard-core for me!” type of face, that is when I refer to the coach’s mother!

Cheyenne – What a great Idea!!! I might have to start doing that too 🙂

Ron – I hope Nick feels better soon! Another example on my list why I love the CF community so much!

Apparently learning to skip would be an asset, and yes double unders would be the goal but I could string together 10 singles tonight.. I’m blaming that dam speed rope!! Although not entirely its fault as there is ‘speed’ in its title and I apparently didn’t use it to its full potential? Lol. I’m sure if it could the rope would have been rolling its eyes and saying ‘for christ sake put me on kijjiji so someone might get some use out of me’ !!!!

**Once again, beyond frustrated with this movement! Stopped after 4 sets. I’d had enough! I almost don’t want to do this one when it comes up for my strength. Seriously. Give me a 100 OHS instead (now you know I REALLY HATE push jerks! HA!) I think I need to go back to the basics with this movement….or something!
**On a positive note: it was nice sharing the bar with you tonight, Chantal.
