Not a PR by far but I’m happy I finished it. Last run was very slow. Most of the rep chunks were unbroken. I could definitely shorten up my transitions. Hopefully we get to see Murph again in August!
Nice job 6amers!

First time ever doing murph was 830 class today after working till 230am… but it was the only class I could get to and I wanted to try it out.
At the time cap I had all the work done and 600m of the run done.
I did the 5-10-15 rep scheme and my hands ripped horribly. My IT bands are still killing me from the half marathon last weekend. So my first mile took 9:30 which I’m not pleased with..
Learning experiences. Next time it’ll be under 50 then hopefully with a vest!
For time:
1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups (50 ring rows)
200 Push-ups (100 pushups)
300 Squats (150 squats)
1 mile Run
I was planning to do full Murph, but then Kevin asked if I had my ruck and I thought.. ‘Why not? I’ve had worse ideas!’
Sooo 44:03 later with my 30# ruck, i was glad I took the challenge!
I used 5-5-15-5 rep scheme
First mile time was 10 min, the second mile was around 12..
For time: using 5-5-15-5 scheme
800m Run
50 ring rows
100 Push-ups

PR from last year, I think I was 48ish??..
First mile was 8:03 (thanks Fred..)
Started with a 10-20-30 rep scheme for 10 rounds, wanted to see how long I could hold it. Not my best idea but preferred the 10 rounds scheme. After 3 rounds I switched to 10pull-5pu-10s-5pu-10s-5pu-10s-5pu (10 rounds) I held that pace and spent too much time resting. Easily could have shaved off a few minutes but my gameplan killed me. Last mile I stopped 3 times.
Wasn’t my day but I was wayyy more mentally tough than last year and I consider that a PR. Did it for Murph.
“The rules don’t say anything about coming back, they just say go.”
Murph Rx:
49:08
1st mile: 8:26
20 rounds:
5 pushups
5 pullups
5 pushups
15 squats
Left for second mile @ 39:14
Managed all pushups & squats unbroken and kept pullups 3-2 the whole way through so I’m happy with that.
This was actually my first time doing Murph and it felt pretty good except for my quads being cramped up as soon as I started the first mile.
Great work nooners!
Thanks Kevin
Mini murph with 1 mile runs: 35:22
Did: 10 rounds: 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats for the first 7 rounds then when my pushups started to get too slow I switched to 5 pullups, 5 pushups, 15 squats, 5 pushups for the last 3 rounds. This was a good idea!
PR of 4:08 from 5 years ago. Last time I did this was Sept 2013.. I’m usually on vacation first week of Aug and I generally have a no gym policy while on vacation.. 🙂 However, if it comes up again this August I’m going to make an effort to get there. I want to try the full version!
Hey CFM peeps!
Thought I would post my results today since it was “Murph”.
Murph (no vest)
Rep sheme was 20 rounds of 5-10-15.

Can’t wait to try it with the vest next year with all of you!
Miss you guys! 😉

Well done & hope to see you soon!
Great job Mario! We miss you too!

Murph rx’d: 43:22 I think it’s a pr. Didn’t walk on the second mile, pretty happy about that!
Found this for you from Aug 2016 post
Murph rx’d with the 20# vest

Thanks Nick, I looked and didn’t see it. Pr it is!
…and a nice PR at that!
Mini Murph in 27:54 I think?
No PR: Aug 2017 it was 24:24 – but I’ll take it after being away for over 2 weeks!
Thanks Kevin.
I’ve done Murph about 6 times to date, so decided to try it in order. But of course, that’s not crazy enough, so I added a 45# ruck to it (minus the pull-ups).
First mile – 10:30
Pullups – sets of 5
Pushups – 4+3+3, the stood up
Squats – sets of 25
Last mile – 12:34
Time – 1:34:21
Thanks for all the cheers, and thanks to Remi for coming to run my slow ass into the gym.
(Do not try this. It’s a stupid idea.)
This needs to be file under “Bad Ideas”
I don’t know what to say about this. I saw you squatting all by your self by the garage door and though, cool he must be doing Murph in order. Come to find out about the 45# ruck sack, you know, just because. I should have gone out for you earlier, hell you should’ve waited till 7, I love stupid ideas! Great job finishing what you started, it’s inspiring!

Murph (no vest)
First time completing it fully (PR!). I saw the clock hit 50:00 just as I was running up the garage door… so I think I cam in at ~50:02 (that last mile took forever).
I did a 5-5-15-5 rep scheme.

Thanks for the coaching Amanda!
Murph
Full reps/no vest
Rep Scheme was 20 rounds of 5 pull ups/5 push up/15 squats/5 push ups.
In later rounds dis 5 pull up/5 push ups/10 squats/5 push ups/5 squats…. this gave my arms a break before going back to the pull up bar.
I’ve done Murph a few times & this is the first time with this rep scheme. More transitions, but saved my arms on the push ups.
Time was 68:00 minutes. Way over the time cap but I was determined to finish this one for once. I don’t recall, I may have finished or come close to finishing back when we are on Alcock Street, but I would have used bands for my pull ups then. The last time I think I was in round 17 of my 20 round rep scheme at the time cap.

5-10-15 scheme and with pull ups
1 mile run (I left the gym at 46:30 and got back at 58:30)
It was horribly fun. I’m sure I can do a few minutes better but it was Monday morning and I had a big weekend of being tired. I feel good for finally finishing this I’ll wear the vest someday after I shave much time and weight. Goals are fun.
Someday I’ll catch all you crazy crossfit animals. I did swear a few times during this , uncharastically

Did 5-5-15-5 rep scheme. Exact same movements/rep as last time. Time: 36:16.
9:34 PR. w.t.h. The best part about this PR, is that I am not much stronger physically, but my mental game has gone up a notch. Or maybe just something about doing Murph, on memorial day, knowing some people don’t even get to walk, run, or do the things I can do, and that pain is temporary. #humblebrag
wow Chantal nice PR 🙂
