  4. WOD – managed 10 muscle ups… apparently in many ways including … the double rainbow. Most were in last five minutes. Thanks Kevin … for doing about thirty to show us technique 🙂 We rocked the boat!

    Strength: Worked on finding my bands for strict pull-ups and ring dips, then did some double-unders.

    WOD: Amrap in 7mins
    4 pull-ups (1st 3 rounds strict with green, rest kip with yellow. My strength was zapped!)
    4 Dips (green)

    7 Rounds + 3 pull-ups

    Strength = learning pullup progression on the bar with a band
    Worked on Double Unders for a while before the WOD.

    WOD: 30 Muscle ups on the bar using a green and yellow band.

    Rough, but good too practice. I can feel that I’m getting close to the real thing.
    Great work 5:30 crew!

    Disappointed… I really wanted to do the Muscle-up WOD but was unable do to a very sore pectoral. So my modified WOD looked like this:

    AMRAP 7 minutes:
    4 KBS 53#
    4 Ring Dips

    10 rounds + 2 KBS

    Sorry about the birthday burpees. I felt bad … really! 😉
    Thanks to the 5:30 class for doing those and I hope you enjoyed the brownies.

    I’m getting older on paper … but thanks to CrossFit I’m actually feeling much much younger! 🙂
