Deck of Death

  • Hearts = Burpees
  • DiamondsΒ = Situps
  • Clubs = Pullups
  • Spades = Squats
  • Jokers = 500m row

Start by drawing the top card and do that many reps of the suit. For example, if you draw the 9 of Hearts, you’re doing 9 burpees. Face cards are all worth 10. The goal is to get through the whole deck as fast as you can. There is a 25min time cap.

    I didn’t finish the deck today, I still had 12 cards left…but felt like a winner just for showing up and trying. Plus when I looked back in my book, I improved from the last time I did this WOD.
    And that makes me feel really happy πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    Warmup and mobility
    – knee raises, down ups, ring rows, squats and 500m row.
    – worked for 25 minutes. Lydia played and mixed up my cards. Got one of the rows in. πŸ™‚

    Bitter sweet. Huge PR from last time when I had 24 reps and 1 row left, but so disappointing to be 5 reps (3 burpees & 2 air squats) away from finishing.
