Not sure if going in the first round was what I would’ve wished for, but at least no double unders int the WOD…Fantastic day! Great job Kevin & Jo and all the judges and volunteers. Had an awesome time and great to witness everyone giving their all. I know for me personally if I hadn’t had all the encouragement; I would not have been able to complete the thursters. And definitely the best lemonade I ever had!

  5. Absolutely amazing event! Congrats Kevin, Jo and all of the participants. Glad to be part of such a great Crossfit family and I can hardly wait ’til next year.

Well organized event and congrats to all who helped to make it a fantastic day!

That was soo much fun my 1st hopper, I was so nervous all day!! Nice to meet some new people…what an awesome crowd! Thanks for the cheers 😉 Thanks Kevin and Joanna, it was a fantastic day 🙂

  11. Sounds like everything went great!
I really really wish I could have been there, even if it was to cheer.
Instead I had to sell a TON of wine. *sigh*
The weather couldn’t have been better though and from the above comments it looks like Kevin and Jo have put another feather in Cross Fit Moncton’s cap.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s the community that make this “gym” the special place that it is, and I’m happy, honored and humbled to be a part of it.
Congrats to everyone who left it all out there today!

  12. Hopper WOD: RX

    Time: 8:40ish/50ish: Sub 9 minutes

I actually do not know my official time, but gosh golly gee, I had a blast!!! When I discovered that I would be in the same heat with the likes of such girls as Celine, Renee and Heather, I became quite nervous. I am still on a natural high because I held my own against these girls….smiles…

The thrusters were by far the hardest part of the WOD for me personally. I could not find my sweet spot for them if there ever is such a thing as a sweet spot for thrusters?????

What an awesome day! The energy was absolutely amazing!! There was one point during the day when everyone was cheering and yelling so loud at/for a girl during the last minute of her WOD that the hairs stood up at the back of my neck and I had goosebumps all over my body! Moments like these epitomize the true meaning and importance of Cross Fit.

Kudos to Kevin and Joanna for organizing such a wonderful day. The Hopper ran like a well oiled machine to say the least.

It was absolutely wonderful hanging out and having some meaningful conversations with everyone today. A great day for sure!!

    Great effort by all!!

  13. oops.. Jeff, you have the sweetest girls and they did a wonderful job selling lemonade and beef jerky today.

    Happy Birthday to you Jeff!!

  14. Sherri (Jo's Mom)

Well that was certainly an experience. This was my first Hopper! Hang power cleans were rx’d and did the thrusters scaled to just the bar (darn knees weren’t cooperating). Time was 13:40

Joanna, I’m so proud to be your mom. I can’t tell you how glad I am that you ‘convinced’ me to register. (I really didn’t have a choice) 🙂 And I am proud of how GREAT you did. You are my inspiration.

You and Kevin did an amazing job today and the atmosphere was electric. It got so loud in there with all the cheering and you could feel yourself getting pulled along with it!

    Love you guys!!

  15. Billy Grace (CFK)

Thanks for hosting a great event today! This was my first hopper and I’m going to be sure to make it back next year, the crowd and energy was amazing!

  16. Heather (Mum)

Thanks to Kevin and Joanna for an amazing day. What an event and what a crowd!!!! CF people are the best. Thanks for cheering me on. The cheers are truly motivating.

  17. Hopper WOD: Rx’d

Thanks to all the Fans who cheered and cheered and cheered. I really thought the roof was going to come down a few times.

Happy Birthday Jeff! Really appreciated the great Lemonade your girls served! 🙂

Have a great weekend fella CrossFitters!
