Hope

Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24″ box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

Getting inverted!

  1. REALLY wanted to do this one with you guys, but my knees were telling me to take a rest day!

  2. WOD: “Hope” Rx = 182*
*started on Thursters, no back issues (15 min lower back warm-up)

    NOTE TO FUTURE-MARIO:
    – More reps on C2B and try to keep an average of 13-15 reps/round (should get you a PR) and try for consistent scores each round…

Good job guys! Good morning at the box!

  3. What a tough one! Good to see some new faces on Saturday too!

Nice to see some new Saturday WODers! Awesome effort by everyone. Great job on your first workout Bev!

    1. Thanks for all the positive support! My nerves didn’t get the best of me and it was because of everyone’s encouragement :). A special thanks to Corinna for being an awesome coach and positive role model! I look forward to continuing to learn from everyone. Joanna and Kevin, thanks for welcoming me!

  5. Another AWESOME Saturday WOD!
FGB is child’s play next to “HOPE”. What a workout…

218 reps (or one rep less than Jeff S…@#$%)

    1. * started with box jumps which helped with my score, for sure. Thrusters and C2B pullups were probably the worst parts of this WOD for me.

  6. Warm up..
Cool down while counting for Karen..
    Half assed re-warmup..
Heart rate was maxed out before we even started, nervous as heck!
    WOD Rx

That kicked my ass all over the place.. Can’t wait to try that again!!
Awesome job this morning everyone.. And thanks for counting Karen..
Thanks kev and Jo, great job laying this out!!

    1. Lora said I should post where I started so I would know for next time.. So.. I Started on snatches ( doesn’t matter how you write that it’s got TWSS all over it)! Not sure there is a good spot to start on this WOD.. But can’t think of a place I’d rather start than on snatch, or snatches !! Lol

    Score : 204.
    Started on pull ups.
35lbs for both Thrusters and Power Snatches (that one was a new move for me – Thanks Joanne for walking me through it.)
    Pull ups with green elastic.

I went in expecting something more like fight gone bad. Oh boy was I wrong! This was a though one! Enjoyed it none the less 🙂

Loveing the pics on facebook too!

  8. WOD – Hope (started with box jumps)

    Burpees
    Power Snatches @ 75#
Box Jumps with 20 inch box
    Thrusters @ 75#
    Ring rows instead of C2B

    Score – 170

  9. WOD: Hope @ RX

    Score: 198

Body felt tired after yesterday’s WOD, but it felt great to have completed this one! The air in the gym felt dense making breathing a little more challenging.

Gotta work on rebounding for the BJ’s and my C2B pullups.

    Good work everyone!
