    QOD: Everybody exists but not everyone is living. Living is doing something with yourself. Following you passion. Being happy.

    Great job this morning everyone! It was a very lively 6am class! Good luck to Marie-Noelle on her trip 🙂

    QOD:
    The TL;DR (too long, didn’t read) version is, Life without fun is existing, life with fun is living. You could say happiness, or joy, it boils down to the same thing!

    1. Good race this morning, Adam. I told you I wouldn’t keep up second lap 🙂
      Pick a faster pace bunny next time. You have it in you.

      1. You did great Michelle! I was dying that first lap, you were taking it easy on me! 🙂 I thought I was going to die towards the end.. lol

  3. Living is doing stuff, existing is waiting for stuff to happen.
    Hello from the Georgia twisties.

    1. Hope you’re having a great trip! We miss you @ the 7:00am class (Josh too, but he won’t admit it) Be safe and have fun!

    2. Pretty deep Denis. My favorite answer today, so I’ll copy Michelle’s “lazy girl” comment & ditto this one.

    a little mobility foam rollin’ lovin’ this morning

    Was going to stick to the running… but decided to change last minute and join Heidi in the WOD ‘Baseline’ – I had never done it. Turned out to be great, Gilles, Crystal and Sonia(from x-clusive) also joined in!

    Baseline:
    500m row
    40 squats
    30 sit-ups
    20 push-ups
    10 pull-ups (Green+ purple)

    Time: 6:28 …. not as bad as I thought it would be.

    Happy Friday peeps!

    1. Never done baseline? You haven’t lived, girl!
      Great job on your first try with this one. Going fast (but not all out) on the row is key. 🙂

      1. Gilles and Heidi had never done it also (and probsably not Sonia) …I Guess we’re just a bunch of senior members who’s had the 10 min AMRAP as an intro session. 😛

  5. Wux2

    WOD. “Deck of death”
    Diamonds = sit-ups
    Harts = burpees

    -24:06. Finished. GIDDY UP ! First time
    Rob Brydges

    1. oooh, jealous! Finishing the deck is still quite far out of my reach but hopefully one day! Great job, congrats. 🙂

  6. QOD: Existing is physical…you physically take up space. Objects exist. Trees, cars, rocks, buildings exist. Living is more mental, spiritual. Wanting things, needing things, doing things. Loving, feeling, hurting, regretting, yearning, hoping. Happiness and sadness. Passion. That is living.

  7. MOB WU X 2
    Strength – Shoulder Press #65

    Baseline:
    500m row
    40 squats
    30 sit- ups
    20 pushups
    10 ring rows
    Times: 6:11 last time on Dec 6th it was 6:37 so got me a little PR. 🙂

    Thanks Amanda! Was a great show as always! 🙂

    Taping my hands up then doing it again.

    WOD. “Deck of death” 25 min cap
    Diamonds = sit-ups
    Hearts = burpees
    Spades = squats
    Clubs = pull-ups
    Jokers = 500 m row

    24:59!!!! Finished (Two weeks ago had 59 moves left)

    Hand taping paid off BTW no carnage today.

    1. Shawn Johnson

      The pullups were nicely spaced out so I didn’t have to take many breaks. Pretty sure that’s what made all the difference.

  9. Can you csncel me for 12 please sorry for short notice my doctor called me and said someone cancelled so im gonna go there instead thanks

  10. The difference is mainly in how a person controls their emotions.

    Existing = feeling as if nothing is in your control and let your emotions (fear being one of the main ones) dictate what you can and cannot do.

    Living = Recognize you emotions, understanding them and controlling them so they do not dictate what you do.

  11. QOD: It’s all mathematical
    E=L-H or L=E+H

    E= Existing
    L= Living
    H= Happiness

    Happiness: is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy

    But IMO, Happiness is hard to define since it is up to to the beholder to define. 😉

    Back to work!!

    1. That was awesome to watch, you were flying. Great strategy to remove you sneakers when you got stuck on the 45’s.

  14. QOD: We all exist, but we choose how we live. It reminds me of the phrase you can survive or you can thrive, the choice is really yours!

    1. All the answers are great, and true, but I am going to say “ditto” to Maria’s 🙂

      Ooo, today’s question is hard. For me, when I feel the most alive is when I am outside of my comfort zone; when I am learning or doing something new. So, existing would be the converse of this. Days with sameness and no change or challenge. Existing=status quo. Living=status go!

      Thanks for the great class Amanda.

      1. Jackie!!! Nice PR! Your running is awesome, you looked like a pro this morning! Very strong, great job!

    1. ohhh also thanks amanda to make sure i wasn’t compromising form for speed.

      1. You did awesome, I knew you’d get through all your cards!! (Even by slowing down your squats to get full expression I knew you would. Thank you for that!!)

    2. Awesome time on the WOD! Congrats! Probably not a bad thing to have to do a row while you are still fresh 🙂

  20. Strength: deadlifts
    5x 154-170-185-185-200 (pr)

    WOD: Baseline. 43 seconds off my PR. I’ll blame it on the “home alone diet”. Patrick has been away for 2 weeks and I lose my motivation to cook & eat well when he’s not there.

    1. Congrats on your deadlifts PR. Is that a result of the “home alone diet” too? 😉

      1. thanks! haha not the home alone diet, I knew I’d have 200#x5 because when I tried 195#x5 I had more left in me. Patrick is home next week, I’ll have my diet cleaned up! haha

  21. Thank you everyone, for all your donations for Marie-Noelle! She is very special and your generosity means a lot to all of us!

    It was soggy but fun.
