Friday’s QOD

Do you need to wear something in particular before you workout or compete? 

“Death by what?!”

On the minute, every minute, complete the following…

1 Deadlift (275/185# or 75%) + 1 Burpee
1 Deadlift + 2 burpees
1 Deadlift + 3 burpees

Continue adding 1 burpee each round until you can not longer complete the work in the one minute round.

  1. QOD: I tried for the Games Open the Skins that are suppose to increase oxygen to the muscles but I think they are defective. Rich Froning still finished ahead of me.

      Forgot the QOD
      I typically always wear th same thing. If there is DU in the WOD then ill have a french braid so my hair doesnt get caught in the rope and some specific shirts so they done ride up.
      If their is burpees, its a no white day hehe.

  7. QOD: I usually wear some kind of headband or bandanna. Sweat + Eyes = Suck. Compression shorts are great for comfort when competing as well.

    WOD Rx = 15 + 13 Burpees (PR 5 reps WHAAAAT!?!) 😀

    Was fun to workout on the noon hour, especially with great crossfitters to try and keep up with. Everything just went to hell in round 16, hahaha.

I always check the wod to see what we’re doing in case I need to wear pants that have a draw string so they don’t fall down if I’m jumping, or a tshirt that is long enough that it doesn’t ride up if my feet are over my head! Honestly, nothing superstitious here – it’s just that nobody needs to witness those two events 😉

    8 + 8…so close to completing the 9th round!

    QOD – my feed ached after every class the first two weeks, until I switched to Vibram FiveFingers. I absolutely love them, and my feet feel awesome!

    Also, if I’m doing deadlifts or cleans, since Vibrams mean I can’t wear knee socks, compression pants are essential to save the skin on my shins 🙂

    1. I always have my lifting socks, and try to wear my “yay burpees” socks on burpee days. They were dirty today. Too many damned burpees!

    Was a mixed felling getting the last 17th at the exact minute, happy to be done that round but gotta keep on going so no break.
    Key was burpee diversification from the start.

    1. I always have that feeling when doing death by’s. You bust your ass to finish the round, only to be rewarded with more rounds. Sounds a bit twisted…. unless you’re a Crossfitter I guess.

    Wod @ 160#. 11 rounds + 11 burpees, exact same score as last time. I’m good with it.. Too much abuse from vacations in the last 6 weeks. I’m just glad I didn’t decline in score.

    Fun working out next to Jason. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, I was just experimenting. lol

    And, I got to do a class with Coach Patrick! Those don’t happen often enough!
