  1. Wod: I’d say yes. They’re the sacrifices made in pursuit of the goal, and the wins that got away.

  2. Mobility
    WU X 2

    Push Press x 5
    95-100-105-110-115

    WOD: AMRAP 9mins
    – 12 Deadlift @ 135#
    – 24 Pullups (smallest band, will stop using a band)
    – 36 Lunges (1leg=1rep)

    Score: 2 rounds + 12 pullups

    1. And they aren’t necessarily physical scars. Sometimes we have emotional scars from winning some of the battles we encounter in our lives!

  3. QOD – Definitely. In terms of Crossfit, to me, a winner is someone who makes progress, which comes from showing up and doing the work, which will sometimes leave some type of scar. Could be a scratch, a bruise, rope whips, fear of a WOD, realizing mid-WOD that you desperately need to push forward, etc etc etc…

“Fear of the WOD” … isnt that an Iron Maiden song? πŸ˜›

  4. ValΓ©rie Arseneau

QOD : Yes because everyone that succeeds once failed and learned from those failure to become better.

  5. QOD: Definately. It may not be visual scars, but can also be a memory of when you’ve fighted so hard to be a winner. I also think everyone has their own definition of ‘winning’. For me, it’s not about being #1…it’s about acheiving something I once thought I wouldn’t do or acheive.

That’s why I set my standards low… I always come out as a winner (JUST KIDDING)! πŸ˜€

  10. WOD: 13.2
    Total reps: 243
Thanks for judging Amanda! You did a great job motivating me!

    Well done everyone!!!

  11. WOD: 13.2
    Total Reps: 1

The most I have ever put overhead was 55# (push jerk) during the strength portion of a regular WOD, so that 1 rep means A LOT to me. πŸ™‚

HUGE thanks to Jeff for keeping me from losing it or going into the ugly cry, when I couldn’t get the bar up and lock out a second time! πŸ™‚

    1. I’m really proud of you! I’m happy that you see how great it is to have accomplished something that you might not have though possible aka 20# PR during an Open WOD!!

    2. It gives me chills to read posts like this. You did amazing! A 20# PR is huge! Very proud of you Robyn πŸ™‚

    3. sooo proud of you Robyn, you have to look at this from the standpoint that in reality you should not have even gotten one rep based on what your numbers were beforehand.. you got the ONE.. and you had at the very least 8 more that were within inches of being locked out.. very proud and happy to have you as a member of CFM.. you are very driven and things will go in leaps and bounds for you as you stick with this!!!

    4. Thanks, so much, everyone! The support and encouragement at CFM is unparallelled, that’s for sure! πŸ™‚

Definitely feeling a few aches this AM, but I am SOOO happy that I chose to sign up for the Open!

So many great experiences (and goals) have come out of it so far, and we’re only 2 WODs in. πŸ™‚

  12. WOD 13.2
    Total Reps: 171

Great job everyone! Thanks Rob for judging/motivating me and Jeff for helping keep me going near the end. So happy I signed up to do this!

  13. WOD 13.2

    Total reps: 218

    Excelent job all CFM Athletes!
Thanks for the superb judging Marie-Noelle!

QOD: It’s impossible to be one without them. Small price to pay.

Have a great weekend fella CrossFitters!

  14. WOD 13.2

    Total reps : 187

I thought it was 178… blame the lack of oxygen to my brain. Pretty happy when I double checked my slip of paper when I got home!

    Thanks Pat!

    1. No scars = not really living… so I figure that scars are proof that we’re alive! It’s like when I bought a new kayak and at first I was afraid to take it out not to scratch it… I’ve come to learn that it’s better to bang it up having a blast on the water than keeping it in plastic wrap in my shed!

Did anyone feel the first 5 mins went mega slow and the last 5 over super fast?

    Definitely feeling this one!

  16. 13.2

    255

pretty happy with this number as after the fact can not locate an extra rep to be had anywhere!! πŸ™‚

    1. Very proud of you! That is a great score! You make it easy to forget you just got new knees a few months ago. πŸ˜‰

  17. Games WOD 13.2
    Score = 301 reps

Another fantastic Friday “Games” night at CFM! So inspiring to see folks putting heavier weights over their heads than they ever had before, or even thought was possible! The adrenaline, the energy from everyone cheering, and all the heart you put into it is what makes the magic happen πŸ™‚

    1. Holy reps girl! That’s an unbelievable achievement. I’m out of breath just reading it!!

  18. Congrats to everyone on the 13.2. I am very glad I could catch some of the action after my shift this evening. You guys were awesome.

  19. To all of you girls who had a ‘challenging’ wod tonight with getting the bar overhead: in the 2011 Games there was a clean and jerk wod (11.3: AMRAP 5 mins clean and jerk, 110#).. I got exactly ONE rep that year. This year we did it again, 2 years later, I got 9 fabulous reps. It gets better, don’t be too discouraged. πŸ™‚
    You all did great tonight!

    1. Love this post, Amanda. It is so easy to forget that this Crossfit thing is about progress. WOD 11.3, 13.2 and all others in between are “snap-shots” of performance….its the “video” of the entire journey that really counts πŸ™‚

  20. Games WOD 13.2

Pushed my self to the end . Very happy with my score . Great Job every one
