    QOD : after this WOD, im sure I won’t want to do, see or think wall balls for a while! So I will say Box jumps 🙂

  3. QOD: Most? hmmm… well pullups but they’re not on the list. I guess my next preference would be Double Unders?

      1. Yeah, the Hopper and jinxing go hand in hand. Last year someone said “hope no thrusters” and BAM, thrusters.!

    Ring Dips
    Double Unders
    Power Clean
    Front Squat

    Though I enjoy all the BW movements so I’ll enjoy any that come up. Because of my shoulder, some of the weighted movements on the list are a bit concerning at the moment though.

  5. Oh my gosh I am nervous! Since I came back in April, competing in the hopper without having to scale has been my goal. Fingers are crossed. 🙂

    QOD: 800m run, double unders, box jumps and situps.
    I kinda wish pull ups were in there.

    1. I’m with you on the nerves, my friend. It has been a long day, and its going to be an even longer night…fingers crossed for some movements that we BOTH like 🙂

    Chose to use the foam roller today.

    WOD: “Karen” = 150 Wall Balls (20/14#) w/10 min cap.

    First time doing wall balls. I used 4# and only got through 85 in 10 mins. Blarg! :S

    The good thing is that it HAS to get better, right? ‘Cause that wasn’t pretty…

    1. It will get better, yes. It all does, that’s why you Crossfit.
      You still did awesome though, great job on your first go at ‘Karen!’

    2. Awesome work with Karen this morning, Robin. It definitely gets better. I didn’t finish Karen my first time either…but she has become one of my favourite girls. It will be exciting to compare your results the next time she comes around.

    3. Thanks for the encouragement. I was having a bit of a whine/pity party after the WOD today, but I’m over it now.

      Yes, the next time “Karen” comes around, I’m hoping that I’ll mop the floor (or I guess…the wall?) with her. 😛

  7. QOD: Personnaly, I would like for some heavier stuff to show up (clean, push press, OHS), maybe some pull-ups, push-ups, some funky movement we see rarely (i.e. burpee bar jump).

    1. How’s it work…. Is there one ball per exercise?. Or could there be a few that say thrusters, a few saying pushups..etc… And if so. Once one exercise is.pulled thats it for.that one?

    1st time doing Karen, figured I would keep the weight @ 14# as I only did 123 WBs using 20# in 12 mins at WOD 12.4

FYI….anyone interested in coming for a dip in the pool and having a few pops/BBQ prior to going to the gym at 0700 is more than welcome to come to our house…BYOB and food/snacks…address: 33 Bellerose Court…u can look it up on mapquest…a few have already confirmed…we will likely cab it to CFM later in the evening to continue the celebrations!!!! Good luck to everyone tomorrow and let’s kick some ass!!!!! 🙂

    Maybe should have gone in today for a little WOD to calm my nerves. The next 14-ish hours are gonna be loooooooooong. *sigh*

    When I read the WOD this AM, I cried a little inside. Wanted to use the 6# and rank in the numbers but I didnt want to wait so I went with a 10#. Happy I want with the heavier because I am going to do it again with a 10# and I will finish it.

    Heidi warned me about this wod. I was happy with the height of the baIl and my squats were ok. I just need a new heart and lungs and o will Spock up speed.

    14 km weighted march 40 lbs
    3.6 km canoe portage
    11 km canoe
    and 2.5 km weighted ruck to the finish…

    5:42 minutes…
    needless to say it was a pretty long day thursday and i cant wait to see all the farmiliar faces tomorrow at the Hopper
