  2. Don’t think their the same…for me exercise is any physical activity, when your training it has a goal/purpose to it….strategically planned. Example going for a walk is exercise, but don’t believe it’s training you for a whole lot.
    Training for me is about developing your body to perform it’s best when you put it towards an intended task/activity….which can be a variety of things.

    My two cents worth 🙂

  8. QOD – The very nature of Crossfit is to train for a better and healthier life, so it has raised the bar for fitness. Simply going to Crossfit is the new exercise for us. Training would now be that added attention to detail both inside and outside the gym. Whether it is paying closer attention to what we’re eating, getting the proper sleep, adding that extra movement during warm up, or extra strength workouts through out the week.

  11. QOD: To me, training implies a goal or purpose of some sort, while exercise means any type of physical activity i.e. playing sports, doing Crossfit, etc.

    Training is exercising, but exercising is not always training.

    I just rolled my ankle running and it’s f-ing gross! It has a giant goose egg on it. I’m assuming I should just ice it? Guy made me put it in a bucket of ice so far. WAHHHHHH!

    Lora, do you have access to any good drugs? Right now I’m using Advil and Italian wine! 🙁

    1. Ouch…just seeing this now Jane. Ice. Rest. Elevation. Compression. Advil. Wine. That should cover it. Your man-servant, Guy, must also tend to your every want and need. 🙂

      1. Thanks ! I’m so bummed. I was just starting to semi-like running. One minute I was enjoying the fresh mountain air and the sunshine and the next minute, I was in the gravel with the dog guarding my back, getting weird looks from teenagers on dirt bikes (who didn’t stop to see what was wrong), waiting for Guy to run back and get the car to pick my lame ass up.

      1. Compression Jane !!! light compression is the most important thing at this time. Even more so than ice. Allow it to breathe every few hours, and just lightly apply the bandage. Ice, elevation also important. Call if u have any other questiOns

    10 Toes to Bar: Very broken, but getting better.lol!!

    6 rounds + 5 press+ 10 toes to bar.

    I quite liked this WOD!!!

    Felt pretty good on this WOD, it was a lot of fun.. T2B all unbroken.. Wish I could say the same about DU! Lol one at a time for the most part, was able to string d-s-s-d together a few times which makes you faster, I can’t imagine what it would be like stringing straight doubles together!! :))

    i have mixed feelings bout this wod, hit myself in the face with the bar, did my first set of t2b unbroken, mangaged to get 30 dbl unders complete in one try but also hit myself in the back of the head with a speed rope so not bad, but not good

    1. Well the good are more important than the bad here, so I’d chalk it up to a successful class. 🙂
