QOD – Two, on the wrist and back. Both reminders marking great change in my life. Funny but since joining CFM the desire for new tattoos has grown for me. Something about a changing attitude towards my body (not ashamed of being so out of shape, etc…) Now when I think of myself as a canvas I’m not super self conscious about the shape I’m in. And although it may sound absolutely stupid to celebrate self esteem by scaring my body, it’s kinda like that, for me at least. I think it’s a wonderful art form and I love seeing all of your wonderful art in motion at the box.

QOD: Yes!! I love tattoos. I have a few of them. They all have a story and mark a time of growth, change, trauma, or loss in my life.
I’ve been thinking of getting another one recently🙂
QOD: 1, the coordinates to where I grew up down my ribs.
I’ve had my next one planned for over 2 years now…it’ll be the branch of an appple tree with 4 fully blossomed flowers, 1 for each of the kids in my family. It will start below my ribs and go down my hip/leg. There’s an apple tree in our front yard that we always take pictures in front of. It only blossoms for a couple days a year and it amazes me every time. I actually can’t wait to have this on my body.. I get excited just typing this haha so I’m making this an accountability post as well – I will book this and have it done as a gift to myself when I graduate firefighting school in January ❤
…and there will be many more to come.

A butterfly on my shoulder with my Nans initials, she was a big part of my up bringing, and she sent a lot of butterflies to me after her death, especially when i needed them..
A fun creation on one wrist for one of my aunt’s who passed with cancer..
