After yesterday, today’s WOD was torture!!! After round one, I asked myself “what were you thinking whe you got out of bed this morning?” 🙂 Fun workout. Glad it’s over.

QOD: So many reasons, but mostly I want to be a good version of myself. To me that means being healthy. Enter CrossFit.

    Happy Friday!

Good work 8:30 crew. Good class Mario

QOD: I train because exercise has always been a major component in my life through sports. Once in university my athlete days turned into aerobic workouts at the gym and running then Xfit came into my life and I was hooked immediately. When pregnant I was able to realize how important it is to me and why. It is a community, people notice when you are present and when you are not, it pushes me out of my comfort zones, makes me realize that I am capable. It makes me a better me, happier me. I am a role model for my boys. I get to work out with my friends, be pushed and push others. I am motivated by my challenges and others challenges. It’s about celebrating the small moments as well as the big moments. Training with xfit for me is about so much more than just fitness. It makes me happy! 🙂

  7. Nice job everybody this morning, especially those who went outside their comfort zone and tried some form of assisted ring dips.

    Happy coach!

Very happy to finally try those assisted ring dips, thanks Mario for the push on those. Fun class!

Also fun fact … I can no longer walk UP or DOWN stairs after the last two days 🙂

  9. QOD: To keep my body working well for as many years as possible.

Also, to try and keep up with Steph. She keeps beating me on WODs.

  10. QOD:
I train so I can fully enjoy life and handle the challenges it throws at me, and most importantly so I can do everything I can to be around my family as long as possible.

  11. Bench Press x3

I don’t really have an established 1RM, so I kind of picked a starting weight and went for it. It was awesome! I totally felt like a beast girl

    Happy Weekend!

  14. Looked fun, so did the WOD after the nooner.

    Rx’d in 3:24

    Thanks for counting Amanda.

QOD: Challenge. I seek it and CrossFit delivers daily.

  15. QOD:
I started CF for stress relief, to get to know people outside of work, and to try and get back in-shape.

Now, I still train for the above, but it has become about building confidence (something I have very little of) and to train my brain to think in new ways with how I approach situations and challenges.

CFM and the people here have had a huge impact on my life and I am very thankful for this.

  16. Bench press x3 up to 105#, tried 110# and only got 2.
Thanks for sharing the bar Amanda & Crystal!

    Thanks Kevin!

QOD: for so many reasons… started to get back in shape but it keeps me sane, challenges me and has brought me to meet all you amazing people who help make Moncton a better place to live when I still don’t feel at home here. I’m 110% addicted and never want to stop 🙂

    1. QOD:
      1. Because sometimes I have to take a break from the outside world. Hanging with like-minded, hard-working goal-oriented people makes achieving greatness easier and is a nice break from high-school.
      2. Because it takes my athletic endeavours that much farther.
      3. Because it provides a confidence most some can only dream of.
      4. Last but certainly not least, because it feels amazing to be proud of what I can do.

  19. Mob

5 ring dips (feet in front, one step out)
    10 KBC @ 35#

    Time – 6:15

    Thanks Amanda! Fun class! 🙂

QOD: Well I first started because I lost a bet 😉 (I said I could complete “Insanity”, too repetitive and boring and it is easy not to workout and push yourself when working out at home) Now I do it because it’s fun, you get to workout with awesome people and get encouragement along the way! 🙂

  21. QOD – I train because I love feeling fast and strong. It makes me happier and is an instant stress reliever.

  22. Patrick Arseneau

QOD: I train to take over Batman’s job when he retires.

Felt like I could have done 5reps at 135

    WOD Rx’d: 3:59

I would like to try 10 rounds of this WOD someday

    1. I vote you take your training one step further and wear the cape and cowl while you WOD.
It would also be super entertaining for the rest of us. Win-win.

    Thanks for the class Amanda.

    Why do I train?
Because the entire maternal side of my family are dead as a result of cancer and/or heart disease and I fully intend on proving my 1 in 7 chance of being another statistic wrong.

  25. I had such a great day at the gym. Fun wod’ing at the noon class and then coached a lot of awesome people in the evening classes!

    10 KB cleans (@35#)
    Time: 5:50

QOD: I train to be healthy, stronger, faster. To feel healthier, and to be a better, more confident me! Also, to be a role model to a less active society. I had a female student tell me yesterday “You are skinny.” I corrected them and told them that I am healthy. I don’t want to be skinny, I want to be healthy! I explained the difference (I was skinny when I was a kid, because I wouldn’t eat anything). I hope this student will think about this difference for her future!

  29. Nooner class with Kevin

    Warm up x 2

    Bench press,
    35#, 40#, 45#, 55#, 60#, 65#, 75#(just to see if I could, possibly a PR)
I had no numbers to go by so I just kept adding weights..
Thanks to Tiffany and Wendy for cheering me on!

5 ring dips(assisted with my heels on the floor)
10 KBC 25# (probably should have used 35#)
    Time 8:28

As I left yesterday I was quite proud thinking – Hey, I benched 75#! .. Today, my chest is saying – Hey, you benched 75#!!!
Thanks for the great class and all the encouragement!

Qod: I started CrossFit because I was bored with my previous training program, and I was not feeling challenged.. I love CrossFit, because it is always something different.. I also like that, although the we all have things that we hope show up in a wod, you still have to work on the things that are more challenging.. CrossFit definitely helps me fight those demons in my head that say -You can’t do this -You’re not good enough – Are you crazy?
To that I say – I can, I am, and Oooh yeah!

  30. Bench Press x3

    5 rounds
5 Strict Ring Dips (gor to 2.5 rounds strict ring dips then had to changed to assisted ring dips. Still more than I’m ever done! 🙂 )
    10 Two-handed KB Cleans (35#)
