I was on the internet the other day and came across an awesome recipe. I’ve tried it a few times and it’s been good every time. Pretty easy to make too (I think it only takes a few seconds to prepare). Once you try it, you’ll think it’s delicious too. It’s called carrot. It’s very versatile. You can use it as a part of a full meal, or just as a crunchy snack.
Paleo treats are better than candy treats. But 4 paleo treats are worse than 1 candy treat. And because paleo treats taste so good, it’s hard to eat just one. If you have the will power to eat just one, good on ya! I, along with many others, do not have that power.
You would be much better off munching on a few sticks of celery or carrots than indulging in a few “paleo” muffins. Kick the ‘sugar’ craving and go all natural baby!

Yes that is my recipe too 🙂
Today’s write up made me smile. I wonder if Laura’s Banana Pecan Chocolate Chip Muffins and Chocolate Macaroon recipes are the catalyst that prompted today’s blog???? lol!
🙂 There are SO many recipes floating around for muffins, cookies, pancakes, brownies, smoothies, shakes, and squares. People are just forgetting the true meaning of being paleo. Just a friendly reminder, nothing more 🙂
Like…smiles…
I managed to only eat 1.5 this morning with my coffee rather than 2. I’m making progress. lol
Busted!!!! Great job today!
When I told my sister that carrots are my go-to food when I need something sweet she said that would only work for her if they were dipped in chocolate!!
Is there a heat list for the people doing 13.3 today??
UPDATE – due to a few cancellations, and as long as we have enough judges, everyone should be prepared to go at 12pm.
Jeff Leger said he’s coming in to judge me! It’s our anniversary wod! LOL!
Thanks
LOVE the picture, Kim!! You’re a Crossfit rock star, I wish all of our members, new and old, could have the same “yeah I can do that” attitude that you have. I love it and I admire you so much for it!
That’s Amanda!
*thanks
I can judge as well. I will be there around 12:15ish..
Judges, remember to be always ready 🙂

awesome job Darrell.. your wall balls were fast and smooth and so were your doubles.. great score!
You were fun to watch Darrell – so smooth and so focused!
Thanks!!
Nice work Darrell. You looked strong from start to finish.
Wow! Great number!
Awesome Darrell!

174 reps (3 rep pr from last year! woot) after the announcement on wednesday I did some doubles (I did not have a single rep in 1 hour, thursday with the help of Amanda, Marie-no, lora and patrick i was able to get one here and there. Thanks to all of you for your help) I’m please with this number but I’ll have doubles in my practice routine each day from here forward! is it too early to hope for a repeat of this wod for next year? lol..
Congrats on the pr Jeff. Maybe we should start a du self-help group lol! And thanks for the info on your surgery. Nice to have a patient’s perspective when making the decision.
Where do I sign up for the DU self-help group??
I need part of the self-help group for DU as well 🙂
Atta boy!!
YES! Congrats!
Great job Jeff even if you didn’t get to the muscle ups like you wanted to. But on the bright side (apart from the 3 rep pr), with all the extra intense DU practice you’ve put in since Wednesday, i’m sure you’re going to get your DU that much sooner! Then you can teach it to the rest of us!
Well done Jeff.
I’m very proud of your performance today! Your wall balls were fast and efficient. Hardly looked like they were winding you at all. 🙂 I loved that you stayed focused and didn’t allow the double unders to frustrate you. Congrats on a well deserved PR.
In case you missed this on the games site, please give it a read. It’s a great reminder for everyone who participated this year and an amazing incentive for next year for those who didn’t. http://notesfromthebox.wordpress.com/2013/03/22/what-is-someone-like-me-doing-in-the-open-2/
I could have written that blog post. That CrossFitter read my mind. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the link! It’s easy to get caught up with the leaderboard and the scores so a reality check is always a great reminder to put things in perspective.
No regrets! Just sore legs 😉
Thanks for posting! Loved it!

Had no idea on what to expect but am super happy with the score. Thanks Lora for judging and pushing me throughout the WOD:)
Just helped a friend with some granit countertops, wonder how my legs will thank me for that;)
Great job Sebastian – you should be super happy because that was a great wod for you!!
Good work! 🙂

WOD 13.3 – 152 reps. 2 rep PR. I’m incredibly disappointed that I didn’t get more improvement over last year but trying to keep in mind how inactive I’ve been over the last month with a week’s vacation down south followed by 8 days off from the gym with a stomach flu that knocked me on my ass.
Thank you for the great judging Jeff. Happy anniversary. 😀
Happy Anniversary Amanda 🙂
Way to push at the end for the PR
Considering all of that, even a 2 rep pr is great! Now you can enjoy the ride on the sore leg roller coaster! 😉
Good job Amanda!
A PR is a PR! Considering all you have dealt with this past month, that is a great score 🙂

207 reps. Very humbled by this wod. I’ve done “Karen” in less than 9min in the past so I figured I would have lots of time for the double unders. That didn’t happen today. only had a little over a minute left for the doubles. As much as my wrist hurt, I won’t blame it on that. I was out of shape. Fell off the “wagon” in the past few weeks.
Very impressed with everybody’s score on this WOD.
Great score none the less!! I guess one-handed wall balls aren’t really an option… I actually just googled that and all I found were lacrosse drills. Booo!
Good job Patrick! 🙂
