FireFit time!

The Moncton Firefighters are putting together another fundraiser/competition this year. We had a few teams entered last year and it’d be great to have even more this year.

Put your name on the board at the gym to be placed on a team.

Deck of Death

  • Hearts = Burpees
  • DiamondsΒ = Situps
  • Clubs = Pullups
  • Spades = Squats
  • Jokers = 400m run

Start by drawing the top card and do that many reps of the suit. For example, if you draw the 9 of Hearts, you’re doing 9 burpees. Face cards are all worth 10. The goal is to get through the whole deck as fast as you can.

    15 cards left; last time 4 cards left. The last time I did my pull ups with green band and this time I did all my pull ups with yellow band. Despite the progression to the yellow band, I am still disappointed that I had 15 cards left.

    10 Cards left, had only 8 left last May, so feeling pretty disappointed today. What really got me were the 43 burpees then the 30 pullups in a row to start the WOD. Hopefully next time will shuffle better! πŸ™
