Fight Gone Bad

Three rounds of:

Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20″ box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of “rotate”, the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

We meet again Fight gone bad.

      Total 211.

      Wall-ball, 10 pound ball, 10 ft target
      Sumo deadlift high-pull, 35 pounds
      Box Jump, 20″ box
      Push-press, 35 pounds

Started at the SDHP. Not sure how smart that was as I usually score high on the box jumps and that was hard to do after the SDHP. Had a slight mishap on the box jumps (sorry shins). Other than that. Good WOD! Almost lost my breakfast mid-round 3.

And Wall-Balls are still my #1 goat… urg.

      1. Good job Val!! You had a good pace. I don’t think you rested at all during each of the rounds. I hated calling the no-reps on the wall balls. I think it was 3. I have a greater apprecition for he judges now.

Haha. If its no rep its no rep. I don’t take it personally.

I think I called no rep to myself in round 1.

Thanks for keeping track for me!

looked back on the site to the last time i did this on sept 16 2008 (i know i’ve done it sense then but this is the last recorded date i could find bad history of keeping track) with a total of 255 pretty happy with this pr 😀

  3. Mobility
WU: 10 reps of each movement x 2

    Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps) >>> Used 6# ball.
    Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps) >>> 35#
Box Jump, 20″ box (Reps) >>> 12″ Box + soon changed to step ups. Legs were dead right away. 🙁
    Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps) >>> 35#
    Row (Calories)

    SCORE: 178

Thanks, Coach Corinna and Score-Keeper Tania! 🙂

This WOD completely kicked my butt (of course, I wasn’t doubting that it would…) but I really liked it. I’m also interested to see how I fare the next time this comes around, as I was running on less than 3 hours of sleep (woke up at 1:30AM and could not, for the life of me, get back to sleep again).

35lb bar for the lifts, 8lb wallball and step ups 20inch box.
Make it stop! I was 3 reps short of 200. On my drive home I was thinking to myself…one extra calorie each round on the row would have done it, one wallball each round would have done Sdhp.. lol. Help me think of something else! Make it stop. Lol
Thanks Corinna for being so organized this morning. It went off without a hitch.

  5. WOD Rx’d

    Wall balls – 27-13-15 = 55
    SDHP – 20-15-12 = 47
    Box Jumps – 12-10-10 = 32
    Push Press – 28-23-20 = 71
    Row – 11-10-15 = 36

    Total – 98-71-72 = 241

PR of 22 reps over May 12/12

Great way to start the weekend.

Thanks for the coaching Corinna and thanks for the push during the WOD Jeff. Shoulders are now toast from the last 3 days. Love it 🙂

Whoa that was a workout! Great coaching Corinna and thanks to Robyn for keeping score for me.
Robyn you did a great job! 🙂

  7. Fight Gone Bad

    WU 2 x each station 10 reps

I knew this was going to be tough as just the warm up was hard.

Good job coaching Corinna — a well executed lesson plan!! That’s the first time I heard you teaching voice haha.

  8. Fight Gone Bad

    Started with the Row
    Row: 12-11-10
    Wall Balls @ 14#, 9 ft. target: 26-20-17
    SDHP @ 55#: 19-19-15
    Box Jumps @ 20″: 19-20-22
    Push Press @ 55#: 17-17-16
    Total Reps = 260

SDHP really sucked! I stepped quite a few of my BJ’s today, as following the SDHP, my legs were toast. I think it turned out to be good strategy for me though, as I was able to constantly to keep moving rather than taking breaks.

Fun to be at a Saturday WOD & see some new faces. It’s been awhile.

  9. Fight Gone Bad Rx’d

    Started at Box Jumps

Box Jump 25 24 18 (four missed reps last round)

    Wall Balls 17 15 13
    SDHP 17 15 12

    Total 229

Great job today Wendy you pushed hard through all three rounds.

302 Pr of 13 (very happy with this as box jumps much slower than last time with step downs, can’t wait to be able to spring these again! )
