  20. If you’ve successfully registered for the Games, make sure you add yourself to the CrossFit Moncton team.

  21. are any of you still having issues with registering yourselves for the open??
    I’m about to lose it

  22. Games Open WOD # 1
    AMRAP in 10 min. of:
    30 DU’s
    15 Power snatch @ 75#

    Total: 178 reps

Pros: Almost made it to 4 rounds
Cons: Almost made it to 4 rounds

A few notes for the people who will attack this WOD on Saturday. It’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be. BUT, I made a few mistakes and my result suffered from it.

1- I was too nervous and lost concentration because of it. Relax and just take it as any other workout we do.

2- Breathing. Practice a few reps during warm up and figure out the best breathing rhythm.

3- Don’t count your reps. Your judge will. I’m so used to counting that having someone counting for me at the same time just broke my concentration. Don’t count, just listen.

4- Pace. My pace wasn’t bad, but my DU’s suffered greatly from being out of breath. Others may not have that problem, but it you do, stop. Catch your breath and then go.

I KNOW I could have done 4 rounds but I was 2 reps shy. So I have mixed feelings about my result. Considering that only a few months ago I couldn’t do more than 5 double unders in a row, I should be happy.

Thanks to everybody who stayed to watch and cheer. That was very helpful
