10:00am – Rules and announcements of the heats
10:15am – The first heat begins and continues every 15 minutes

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 10 minutes of:

30 Double-unders
15 Power snatches (75/55#)

You may feel like passing out, but you will not die

  3. So glad I decided to go the gym this morning to see what the Games competition was all about. Great to see such energy, determination and focus of the competitors; as well as just being there among such a great atmosphere!! Looking forward to being in the cheering section for more Saturday morning Games WOD’s over the next few weeks.
    Kudos to everyone for completing this first WOD!!!

    I expected better but breathing was difficult. Can’t wait for next week! The gym had an incredible atmosphere this morning!

    Great morning at Crossfit Moncton, unbelieveable effort by everyone. The atmosphere and encouragement that was displayed this morning is simply put, “what its all about”.

    Way to go guys!

    “You now have an extra week to register and nail the Week 1 workout. All the rules are the same, but we are now allowing you until Sunday, March 27 at 17:00 PDT, a full extra week, to perform your workout and submit your results. As always, you are welcome to repeat the workout any time before the deadline if you think you can do better. The Week 2 workout will be announced on Tuesday, March 29 at 17:00 PDT, with the submission deadline Sunday, April 3 at 17:00 PDT (again, this is Week 2).”

    1. “There are over 20,000 athletes registered to compete in the CrossFit Games Open. That is a historic number, both for the CrossFit community, and for online athletic competition in general. We want to be 100% sure that everyone gets to compete with fair terms. There have been too many problems with registering, the leaderboard, team creation, and account management. Our IT and support teams are working around the clock to respond to your questions and fix these bugs. They have made significant progress, but not enough.

      This new deadline will give everyone enough time to make sure that they are registered to the site, assigned to the right team, and correctly submitting their performances. We hope that you take advantage of this time to participate fully in the Open.”

    Finnaly figured out how to alternate from a DU to Skips then DU etc.. during the WOD.
    Did way better because if it on the DU’s 🙂

    Man today was a great day! Lots of energy, lots of great effort.

    Did way better than I expected, was able to pull out singles/doubles with the skipping.

    Great job everybody, was as much fun to cheer and witness the performances than actually competing 🙂

    Can’t wait for next saturday!

    Hi Everyone I hope you all doing well ! I just did the workout this morning in fredericton as prescribe and I got 3 rounds + 30 DU + 11 snatch. I’m at the bangor airport right now i’m leaving for orlando so i’ll be doing next week sectional workout at a crossFit gym down there. Go team Moncton Go!! Kevin how do I put my score in ?? 🙂

    I came very very close to signing the wall today! UGH!
    My goal was 2 rounds, so pleased with this result. Double Unders were tough. Thanks for counting & encouragement Gillyon. It really helped keep me focused & calm as I struggled through the DU’s.

    Great job everyone. It’s great to see such enthusiasm from the participants and the spectators.

    Thanks for the encouragement everyone! This was a very challenging WOD for someone unable (yet) to string doubles together. My goal was to at least get through the doubles in the, but I was able to complete one full round!!! Thanks Jeff for your judging and reassuring; it helped me stay calm and focused in order to get through this workout.

    Very glad I signed up to participate, being a spectator last year in Fredericton left me thinking that it would be awesome to compete in an event with that kind of energy someday; and today I got to — it was AWESOME!!

    Thanks Kevin & Jo for organizing this today, I know it’s a lot of work and it is very much appreciated!

    Thank u for keeping me calm during the workout Ed. Kept telling myself just another saturday workout And that helped too!! Very happy with my result as my goal was 3rds. I tell all that will listen that at Crossfit Moncton we are “family” and today shows that for sure! such great energy and support for everyone! I brought my good friend with me to watch who does Crossfit in his home and he told me that he has already “asked the boss” if he could join as he was so imPressed!! Hehe

    Great job everyone! I love being a Crossfitter and working out with you all!!!!!!
