And the winners are…

First off, what an awesome Challenge! There were so many performance gains and so much fat loss in such a short amount of time. I’m blown away by everyone’s results. People have been telling me how much better they feel as well, getting quality sleep and having more energy.

With all of these fantastic results, it was VERY hard to choose just one winner. To me, you’re all winners for taking on this challenge. After much deliberation with the other judges, we came to a decision.

Female Winner – Melissa LeBlanc

Male Winner – Lance Cudmore

Female Runner-up – Stephanie Legere

Male Runner-up – Jeremy Landry

Congratulations again to our winners and everyone that took part!

    WU x 2 – deadlifts instead of pullups (135#)

WOD @ 210# (WOOPS, was supposed to be 190 but slapped on 35’s instead of 25’s and well, Kevin noticed at round 2, while I was wondering why I was feeling so weak while doing the deadlifts and how F#$%ing heavy they were.

Crossfiter tip of the day: Choose your weight wisely, and double check your plates! πŸ™‚

Total: 58 burpees I’m pretty sure my deadlift form sucked a few times and I could remove 5 or 10 burpees out of that total!

    1. Wow! Sometimes it’s those little mistakes that make you push yourself beyond what you think you can do!
      Great job Chantal!

  5. CONGRATULATIONS to the Paleo Winners!
And big props to all my paleo peeps as it was much easier tackling a challenge like this when you are surrounded by others doing the same!

    1. You can never go wrong when you take the time to work on form πŸ™‚ It really pays off in the long run. Nice work on the WOD today. I don’t know how you folks do this stuff so early in the morning. Sheesh…even the sun was still in bed…

    1. LOL…don’t encourage him, Trent! I don’t think we have seen the end of his collection.

BTW, congrats on your deadlift PR πŸ™‚ Nice work on the WOD, too!

  8. Trying to figure out how to say this without sounding too cheesy, but congratulations to ALL of you – even if you didn’t come first or runner up, you still win. In life and in the gym. Great job to all of you. There’s a reason this food challenge is called a ‘challenge’ – cause it’s hard – and you only know how really crazy difficult it is to make changes to your diet once you’ve done it.

      1. I know. I abandoned my effort to not be cheesy because I didn’t feel I could communicate what I wanted to say as effectively so I took the chance on sounding like a cheeseball. πŸ™‚

  9. Congrats to the winners! And to all who took on the challenge! It’s definitely not easy, but well worth all the effort. You can see from all your great results, good job guys and gals!

  10. Congrats to the winners and to all of the participants! I truly enjoyed the challenge and I will continue to challenge myself….this is just the beginning for me!!! I ain’t stopping now!!! I FINALLY feel like my old self again…no actually I feel better than my old self!!! πŸ™‚

LOVE today’s pic Mario. You’ve missed your calling.

  18. I’m really impressed with the paleo challengers this year. There’s no doubt in my mind that paleo is the healthiest way to eat. But it’s not the easiest to adapt to. So, cudos to all who decided to make a change.

There was a lot of contenders for the title this year. Congratulations to the winners.

  24. Congrats to all the challengers on finishing the challenge and adopting new habits.

Mel and I are here in St. Lucia missing the gym and all the wonderful people. She’s also driving me crazy with her constant desire to work out….Cross fit has created a monster.

Can’t wait to be back at the gym next Tuesday…..or Monday

    1. We miss you guys. Hope you’re having a great time in St. Lucia. I love that Mel is constantly looking for ways to work out. Atta girl!
