    Used 135 for the first round, just destroyed me switched to 95. finished like withing the last 10 seconds. Little steps I guess.

  4. After the morning crew went home, I stuck around for some shoulder work.

    21-15-9 reps of:
    Strict pullups
    Strict handstand pushups

    **Some modifications were needed. I used two 10# plates under my head. Also kipped a few of the HSPUs each round because I got stuck at the bottom.

    Overall, I felt good about it. My time was slow as molasses, but it was my first attempt at strict HSPUs in a workout. I gotta keep attacking my weakness to make them strengths!

    Great job everyone! Thank you Steph! You kept me on my toes and forced me to keep picking up the bar. What a workout! It is funny how humbling Crossfit can be. I left the gym after Friday’s workout feeling great. I was so proud of myself…then this workout came and bit me in the butt.

    1. I know exactly what you mean! Just when you think you broke a plateau and you think it’s getting easier, some crazy WOD comes up and kicks your ass. But that’s a GOOD thing. Like the T-Shits says; “If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always had.” (er something like that).

    I did some squat cleans before the classes tonight. Haven’t done them in a while, so I was nervous. All for 1 rep.

    I raced with one of the trainer over (Chris Kalec….great guy)…he pushed me pretty hard!
    He did 14 rounds.

      1. Yes, but they were not as efficient as Chris’ ones…. that’s why Chris passed me around round 11.

        I need to work on mine to make them more efficient. But I am happy I did a whole WOD with butterfly pullups.

    Learned how to ID a 35 lb. bar from a 45 lb. bar. I somehow what it’s like to be a little tyke, learning, at the foot of a wizend old master… except Kevin is not old a wrinkly but I did come away from the lesson feeling like a little girl.
