  1. For the noon trainer, registered at the noon class to get an opportunity to practice MU’s before this evening’s Friday night lights

  2. 40(pullups)
    80-cal. row
    120 wall-ball shots 14#
    19:22
Probably could have pushed it harder. Working out solo is not the same

    Good look everyone

  3. 40 muscle-ups (pullups)
    80-cal. row
    120 wall-ball shots
did 6 Rounds of 20 WB / 13 cal row(15 cal on last round)
    9:25
rested 3 min and attempted MUs – Tried 2 or 3 was close but need a bit more technique training so did MU progressions from box for last 5 min

    Thanks Matt!

  4. 20.5
    Partitioned any way:
    40 muscle-ups (pullups)
    80-cal. row
    120 wall-ball shots

    Did 2 Muscle Ups then
    5 Rounds of:
    — 13 Cal Row
    — 20 Wall Balls
    then 1 Round of:
    –15 Cal Row
    –20 Wall Balls
** did 1 Muscle Up at the end of the first 4 rounds.
Score at cap: 206 (tie break 17:03)

Should have done more MU at the beginning and not worried about them through the workout. Was too gassed to get any at the end.
Wall Balls wrecked me again though. My fault for not working on them more.

Thanks for the tips Coach Matt!
And CONGRATS to Fred on his first Muscle Up!

  5. 20.5
    8 rounds:
5 jumping pull-ups from box (chest to bar)
10-cal. row (1 min ea time)
    15 wall-ball shots (8#) – PR from 6#

At 20 min cap had 15 WBs left.
    Reps = 225

If there’s a next time, I would do this in 5 rounds… less transition time.

    Thank you Matt!

  6. Some potential options (sub muscle ups for pull-ups if scaled)

    Level 1
    Get 1 muscle up
    Then,
    4 Rounds
    20 cal Row
    30 Wall ball (2×15 or 3X10)
    Then,
    As many muscle-ups as possible.

    Level 2

    4 Rounds
    2 Muscle-ups
    10 Wall ball

    2 Muscle-ups
    10 Wall ball
    2 Muscle-ups
    10 cal Row
    2 Muscle-ups
    10 Wall ball
    *Transitions are key here.

    Level 3
Possess 15 muscle-ups max give or take.
    8 Rounds
    5 Muscle-ups
    15 Wall ball
    10 cal Row (recovery pace)

  11. 20.5 Scaled

    40(pullups)
    80-cal. row
    120 wall-ball shots 14#

    190 reps

Thanks for judging Fred! Totally gassed in this WOD. Did 5-10-15 reps pull ups were great, but rowing sucked everything I had. Another Open in the books! Here’s to Masters Division next year!

  12. Wod 20.5 rx’d
    19:42

A little slower than I hoped, but a great wod to finish the open. This had been my best games to date. Even with the longer wods

  13. Wod 20.5 rx’d
    203 Reps and 14:50 tiebreak.

Did 1 muscle up in the 1st 3 minute. then…
    6 rounds of
    20 WB
    13 Cal row (15 in round 6)
Then had plenty of time and did 2 more MU’s
Many failed attempts but shoulders held up good. Had not done these in a long time.

    Thanks for Judging Gabriel A!

  14. WOD scaled 55-59
    4 rounds
40 Jumping chest to bar 10
    80 cals rowing 20
    120 Wall balls 30
    17:05
    Thanks Corrine!
    This really hurt lol!

  15. Nooner because the power was out @ 6 AM.

    8R
    5 Jumping C2B Pull-ups
    10 Cal Row
    15 WB @ 10#

    215 Reps

Would loved to have finished but happy just the same. I have an ass ache from that one!

Thanks Matt. Open 2020, in the books!

  16. Rx’d in 19:45

I didn’t know Shane and I were racing. Wouldn’t have grabbed my water cup if I had known 😉

    20 MU at the start
Then followed Level 2 strategy until the end, when I did 40 WB, 40 cal, 20 WB.

  17. 20.5
    1 rounds:
    20 cal row
    30 wallbals
    Then, 6 rounds:
    10-cal. row
    15 wall-ball shots (14#)

    Reps = 200
    Tie break 18:24

Tried to get some muscle ups but couldn’t get any

  18. For time, partitioned any way:

    40 muscle-ups (jumping pullups)
    80-cal. row
    120 wall-ball shots

    I did 8 rounds
    5 jumping pullups
    10 cal row
    15 wallballs(10#)
    236 reps
Pushed myself to do wallballs unbroken
I may have over paced myself, and wasted time in transitions.
love reading about everyone’s strategies and successes!

  19. WOD Rx
    Tiebreak time:
    13:16 (I think)

    Then 40 jumping pull ups
    17 something (lost my paper)

Great way to finish the Open 😊

  20. WOD done with pull ups and 14# ball (there were no 10# balls left to do it completely as prescribed for the scaled division).

    Finished in 16:27.

I did 8 rounds of 5 – 15 – 10 and it worked well for me. I was able to maintain a relatively smooth pace throughout.
