Question of the Day – What is your favorite memory from Baig Blvd.?

This is it. The final WOD at 359 Baig. It was quite an upgrade from Alcock St and we’ll miss this space.

While our move was a little unexpected, I’m excited for the potential on Edinburgh. A fresh space with a new feel. 95% of the building has fresh paint. Brand new rig. Tons of space. And some cool features.

I can’t wait to workout with all of you at the new spot.

But before that, I leave you with one of my favorite workouts. Enjoy the last workout and wear your ‘skunk patches’ with pride (if you’ve done this one before, you know what I mean).

Bear Complex

7 sets of the following sequence:
Power Clean
Front Squat
Push Press
Back Squat
Push Press

Complete 5 rounds. Rest as needed between rounds. Go for max load.

Rules:
-No resting on the ground (even to re-grip)
-Jerking is allowed.
-Thrusters are allowed.
-Can’t receive the clean in a squat and then directly overhead…must stand first, then front squat.

    Today I shared the bar with Karen.. Although we questioned our weight choices, I am super proud of us for managing that last set!!
    The last time I did this, my last set was 65# 💪
    Complete 5 rounds. Rest as needed between rounds. Go for max load.
    What a class! What a great day!
    I helped move some mats and a few other things. It was great to see so many today! I almost forgot how fun Saturday classes are!

    This was a great WOD, with great peeps in Nick and Marcel. They pushed my limits a bit and I am glad they did.

  6. QOD – how do I pick just one? It’s been an unreal ride. I’m a different person, inside and out, since walking through those doors. PRs, endless hours of work, the Opens, all the weightlifting meets, meeting all of you, and meeting Matt – just to skim over it. It’s tough to say goodbye to all the growth that happened inside this box. I really didn’t know I could get so attached to a space, but it was a very safe one. I’m so excited to see what we do on Edinburgh. It’s already got the feel for big things.

  9. My favorite memory is thinking back to the scared girl that walked in on day 1 of prep class knowing no one or what to expect….I and a different person. I do feel a loss with the gym moving which surprised me but i am excited for the new place and the future too.
