Reminder – we are closed this weekend for a NCCP seminar.

QOD – What’s your favourite beverage?

‘Eva’
Five rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
30 Kettlebell swings (70/53#)
30 Pull-ups

*45 min cap (may not continue next round if you haven’t left for the run at 36 min)

This one is no joke. It takes a lot of physical and even more mental strength to finish this one.

Option – Half distance and reps (GOOD OPTION!)

    Chose Option A as I wasn’t sure my legs/knees would hold up.

    Then did a full round for “fun”

    Finished round 4 @ 39:17 or so(don’t have my book on me)

    in 2015 ran with Luna in the jogger = Time cap 45 mins: 3 rds + 5 pull ups

    6:25 PR from 2011. Yay for progress! Was expecting to only get 4 rounds in. Finished 4 at 35:58 so off I went for 5. Also a 6:41 pr for 4 rounds. And I wasn’t completely defeated mentally.

    Good job 8:30 ladies 🙂

    Shortened the runs to hit the time cap but kept the full amount of KB swings and ring rows. 30 ring rows were tough.

      On a side note, the running didn’t feel as horrible as it usually does for me. I kept a steady conservative pace!!

    Kept on pace to finish sub 44:00, last 100m knees cramped up big time. After some stretching and struggle bus kb swings, some more stretching, cursing and pull-ups I was able to squeeze out the last few reps just after the cap. Not so fun to do alone but well worth the fight. Till next time Eva 😉

    I can’t believe I finished that gross thing!! I had picked option B, and when I finished it, Matt called out across the gym “KEEP GOING!! You can finish the whole thing!”
    I thought he was crazy, but he was totally RIGHT, because I did finish😭
    Thank you to all the 8:30am lovelies for encouraging me to keep going when everything hurt and I just wanted it to be over😂😛. And thank you Matt❤️

    Last year I did 5 rounds with half the reps in
    25:05 and left a note for myself to do the whole thing next time..
    I am not even going to try to figure out if that was faster, I am just glad I finished it!

      For some reason I read the QOD as ‘alcoholic’.. I am a huge fan of good old H2O, with a slight addiction to ice caps..

    I did 3 rounds Rx July/2015 in 39:20 so today was a 2:48 PR and I’m happy with that but I got to the last 30 pullups at 29:50ish then ripped on the first pullup sooooo then I was struggling to get through those for like 7 mins 🤦🏻‍♀️

    I chose the 1/2 option because baby doesn’t like running lately…
    Finished in 26:30.
    I think this was the right choice for me today, but somewhat questioning because of what others did 😕

      You’re here and you’re doing it! And that is something HUGE. And it’s not just because of what your efforts in the gym do for your physical and emotional health.
      No.
      The fact that you still come to the gym, while growing another human being(which is hard enough work on its own, btw) is a huge deal because you are a part of what is going to change the narrative about what it means to be a pregnant woman in this world and that is SO FREAKING AMAZING, Stacey!!

      Don’t judge yourself against someone else’s story, beauty. Be proud of YOUR story, because it’s an important and valuable one❤️

    PR of 4:50!!! did 4 rounds last time with a time of 44:43

    WOD: 42:42 for 3 rounds. And my hand ripped on the 4th pullup of the 3rd round so I finished the round with ring rows.
