This was the 8th year of the Atlantic Hopper Event. It’s the longest running competition in Atlantic Canada. We’ve hosted almost 1000 athletes since 2009, and in the picture below, shows 6 of those athletes that were there on day 1. I love the CrossFit community!

    I thought I hit a PR but after much digging around I am 2 reps shy 107 PR set in July 31, 2012. Approx 80% of today’s pullups were butterfly pullups though.

    Not nearly as horizontal as I wanted, but focused on keeping tight knees and core.

    I thought 12 felt great all the way through, I didn’t catch on, or maybe I didn’t want to catch on that I could do more till the last two rounds. If I was ever to do this again I think I’d try 15 all the way through.

    Bent my pullup bar in the process…. back to the hardware store!

    Second set broke it for me, next time 80+ reps. Had a lot of spare time for the last run… could slow it down a notch on runs.
