    Worked up to 105# and stopped there, not feeling it today. Everything is tight and sore, 2 Hero WODs in 3 days that will do it!

    I was not very happy with myself today. I also did some extras to get my movement down properly and I had to bring my weight down drom my PR weight. My hips did not want to work and my arms wanted to do all the work. I need more practice. I did reach a PR with my hang cleans but I still wish I could have done better. Next time I will get this. Thank you Kevin and Amanda A for the help. I was not very coordinated today!

    1. When I first started crossfit, I had been getting PR’s left, right and centre and it felt good. So good that it lit a fire inside of me to push even harder. It felt good to feel like a winner for once 🙂

      But then there finally came a day when I fell off my PR horse…and it felt really awful. I went to a Saturday morning Open Gym with the expectation that I would get a deadlift PR that day. And to my complete and utter horror I DIDN’T. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t even lift anywhere close to my previous weigh. Everything felt sooooo heavy that day. It was like I was trying to lift a car. I was so disappointed in myself that I actually left the gym and cried 🙁

      So, my advice to you is this: You won’t get a PR every day, every week or even every month but you will learn something new each and every class. You’ll learn how to land better. How to get under the bar faster. And then one fine day, the Crossfit gods will smile down on you and you’ll learn how to do toes to bar or a pull-up(this has yet to happen to me, but I’m expecting to feel like an amazing super hero that day!!)

      Don’t be too hard on yourself, because you’re doing GREAT!! 🙂

    I believe 175 was my 1 rep Hang clean max so I guess I got a 10# PR. Can’t wait to work on these again.

    I can’t tell you how cool it is to be able to do crossfit alongside my 14 yr old son. He did an 80# Hang Clean tonight and he only weighs 100lbs. Yes, I’m bragging. I’m so damn proud of him, I might actually burst 😛

    Love the technique tips from Kevin! I am sure I have learned half of this stuff and it is deep in my brain somewhere, sometimes it sticks sometimes, not so much..

    I seem to be struggling with my front squat.. All this time I have been doing my squats to wide.. My knees are sore tonight too (I wonder why?)..
    So even tho I hit a PR, I’m not counting it because I did them all wrong..

    Started at 35# worked my way up to a pr of 70# for a hang clean. Attempted 75# three times and just couldn’t stick it. On the plus side, 75# is a new pr for dead lift 😀

    The 160 was my clean PR from a few weeks ago, so I wasn’t sure I could hit it today, but wanted to go for it. I think if my hamstrings weren’t still sore from Michael, it might have happened. Oh well! I will re-test again in a few weeks.
