What was with those burpees before the strength yesterday? Stupid idea. Or deliberately planned? When I coached soccer at PRS, my kids did CrossFit for fitness training. And often times, we would do tough workouts right before practice. Why? Because skill and technique when you’re fresh mean jack shit when you’re 56 minutes into a game and you’re down by 1 goal. I wanted them to be fatigued AND STILL perform well. Because that’s what wins games. That’s when they became better athletes. And that’s what I want for you as well.
Routine is the enemy. Constantly varied is a pillar of CrossFit. Suck it up and let it hurt. It will make you better.
Strength – Deadlifts x5 reps or Hang Power Cleans x3 reps
Then, 3 rounds of:
12 Deadlifts (155/115)
9 Hang Power Cleans (155/115 or 65%)
6 S2OH (155/115)
