Thanks for the advice today Pat. I’m looking forward to some OHS holds as 145 may be 150 is as far as I can go with a good landing and shoulders locked out. To get more # I’ll need to work on stabilizing that squat.

    Mechanics, Consistency, Intensity.

Not only do we preach it, we practice it. We are straight up telling people to focus on their form and not the weight. We want you moving light weights better rather than heavy weights uglier. We do this for 2 reasons: to be safe, and to be more efficient.

I’ve been giving tons of feedback today. With some of that feedback comes corrective drills. When I say “You need to practice ___________ every day”, DO IT. Go back to your journal, write it down, then do it every day until you’re better. And the day you fix the issue, I’ll find another thing for you to work on.

But if you just smile and nod, never do the drills…then you’re spinning your wheels. I can tell you daily to get a lacrosse ball into your hips, or practice the footwork in a snatch, but it’s up to you to actually do it.

“The only person you should try to be better than, is the person you were yesterday”

      Agreed coach!

I for one love getting feedback on form from our all knowing coaching staff! I want to learn and get better! my progress in the last 4-6 months were because I did the lil extra stuff I was told to work on.

One of which was to work on strict pull ups and to incporporate them to my WU. Huge improvements since!
