This Saturday, CrossFit Moncton will be hosting an Oly cert, so all of our classes will be cancelled. BUT, Maritime CrossFit is opening their doors to our members on Saturday at 10am. Feel free to join them for an awesome Jeff Perry special WOD. Sign up on the whiteboard so we can let them know numbers. Thanks!

    Need a better push in the beginning on the TGUs. Was tough to go much faster and maintain form.

    Holy those TGU’s are tough!! I think this was the 1st time I’ve ever done this movement. I tried 20lbs, then 15lbs in the warm up and felt like I had never lifted weights above my head before – EVER. So I did the wod with a 10lb plate and in the end, felt quite humbled. But enjoyed the work out and glad I did it!

    Left arm a lot weaker than the right, I wasn’t confident enough to go higher than 15lbs for the fear my arm would let go.

    Forgot how tough the TGU’s are. I struggled through EVERY one in my first round at 25#, so dropped the weight.

    Compared to June 2011, I used 25# throughout with a time of 19:58.

    2 x set (5lbs and 10lbs) – need to keep arms locked

    WOD: 3 rounds of with 15 min time cap
    22 push ups (hit the first 18 and then missed the chest to floor on the 19th – broken other rounds in to 10s then 5s)
    11 TGU (10lbs) – form was the goal and that fell apart in the last round

    Time = 15 min with 2 rounds and 7 TGUs

    Cashout = hang and twist

    Then I did the WUP because I missed it earlier in the class

    Back squats with 3-second hold: 3 x 5 reps @ 75% – I scaled my weight down to 110#, I haven’t done these in way too long and I don’t know what my current 1RM is. 100# was challenging 🙂

    Snatch pulls @ 95#: several sets of 2x.. I was happy to do these as my pull is what I struggle with the most on the snatch
