  6. Good morning fellow Crossfit Moncton members! I just want to say that there was some serious hard word exerted by everyone in the gym thus far today!

    I also want to welcome Daphne and congratulate Melissa, Wendy D and Angela for they bandless pull-ups pre-wod!

    Lets keep the hard work rolling! Ps there are lots of names on the no show burpee board. Today is a great day to get then done!!!

    On another note, yesterday was my first day that I was fre of concussion symptoms and so far today I must say that I’m feeling really good! If all goes well I should be able to participate in the Hopper on Saturday. I have to admit that I’m pretty excited about the idea of sweating next to my favourite people!!!

      I’m beginning to question my score….it doesn’t seem possible that I could have done 4 rounds……looking at other people’s scores….I used my pennies and when I was done the wod, I had moved 4 pennies during the wod, which tells me that I did 4 rounds. With the delirium of the wod, I could have made a mistake, but I don’t think so……not sure what to think?

    WU x 2 (15 reps) – with “big girl” pull-ups! I was so excited! I was also excited that Wendy saw them (so there was visual proof it happened)! It happened so easy, I just popped right up and over. So, of course I had to do it again to show people…and one more time for good measure. Woot! Thanks Marie-No for some tips on kipping. I’ll start practicing that.

    I tried to see what a Grasshopper was Kevin, but there is no demo. Can you put one up?

      Do a plank. Bring your right shin to your left forearm, and put your foot back again. Do the same movement with your other side(s). 1 rep complete. That make sense?

        1st one is the proper way to do it…2nd & 3rd ones are if you can’t reach your leg to your arm. Get it as close as you can.

    First couple rounds went very very quickly, but found muscles were slowing me down as I got deeper into them. Thanks to some during WoD suggestions from Ed, I was able to speed up again. Ended up with getting to my last set of grasshoppers with 30 sec left, at that point I knew it was just put the head down and truck til the end of the workout.

    This was definitely a deceptive workout, and despite all the warnings of the class ahead, I was still surprised by how rough it was. Great effort everyone! See you tomorrow at 4:15
