    Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall, 30, from the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (1 PPCLI), based in Edmonton, Alberta, serving as a member of the 1 PPCLI Battle Group was killed by an improvised explosive device that detonated during a joint foot patrol near the village of Nakhonay in Panjwaii District, about 25 km southwest of Kandahar City on December 23, 2009.

    Previous time was 35:19 in Aug 2010 and some movements were scaled back then. It’s been a while since I’ve done a WOD like this, thought the DL were going to feel much heavier than they actually did as I haven’t done deadlifts in a long time but this workout is all about the #$&*@%^ wallballs for me. Took me over 10 minutes to do 100 14# wallballs at 10’…. terrible! I’ll be happy to see the 9′ wallballs come back in the games next year, it makes a huge difference for me.
    Good job this am everyone! Once again evening peeps, leave your shirts at home, it’s gonna be a hot one!

      Very impressive Joanna! I’m certain you can do the extra 15# on the DL and still finish with an incredible time. I would happily do your 100 wall balls if you would do my pullups (and while I’m at it, HSPUs too…LOL).

    Run 400 meters with a 45# plate

    Time 32:26 (goal was under 30min so not bad)

    Did all wall balls in 10 sets of 10. Was slow but consistent.
    Did all DUs 8 sets of 20 and last two sets 33 & 7 reps.

    I would have loved this WOD if there were only 50 wall balls. I did sets of 5. Lost a lot of reps due to not getting over the orange line. Great job 7am!

    3/4 of the way through skipping, I had a Tom Hanks (“A League of Their Own”) moment and kept telling myself, “There’s no crying in CrossFit!” HA!

    Thanks for kicking my butt, after a week of no workouts! Won’t be slacking off again, like that! 🙂

      Don’t worry about scaling. There’ll only be a handful of people that won’t need to scale. You didn’t give up and saw it through to the end! Excellent!

      Everyone this morning scaled..except for Kevin. Don’t worry about that. While you were busting your ass off…most people were just rolling out of bed. GREAT WORK! Ps. I have cried in crossfit before. Hehe

      I think what you did is FANTASTIC, you workout at 7am, you push for 38:29, you never quit…… What are all the unhealthy people doing??????? Your a WINNER in my books.

      Wow Robyn! You gave it 38:29 of your “ALL”. That’s incredible. So proud of you for finishing this. As others have said, don’t worry about the scaling. You still got one hell of a workout (and then some!).

    Decided to scale this one with weight, bands and less reps. Was still feeling Monday’s crazy work out + I got some frisbee this weekend and being mobile helps… Even with the scale, was not a easy one! Good one none the less!

    Sooooo hard, but sooooo fun!! Loved this WOD! A challenge from start to finish.
    Wanted sub 30:00, so I am super happy with my time. A big thanks to Marie-No for setting a fast pace!

    10 HSPU (this was the highlight of the wod, did them unbroken and with a kip but much more limited than I’m used to! 🙂
    15 DL @ 250
    25 box jumps @ 30 (these were freaking difficult..)
    50 pullups..
    100 wall balls.. broken up badly in 5-7s, just didn’t wind myself, kept breaks short
    200 DU (here is where the wheels fell off completely, lol.. done the above in 16 minutes, 23 minutes later i finished the 200 DU.. )
    400m run with 45# plate, suffered on this one, thanks so much to Marie and Lance for running this with me.. much appreciated.

    I really enjoyed this workout. It was the first time I used the 18 inch box in a work out. It was also my first attempt at skipping (due to my right heel problems). I felt like a kid skipping. Unfortunately, my fun was short lived as my right heel is on ice again at this very moment. I am running out of patience with this problem, but again I am very grateful I can participate at crossfit at all.

    The wall balls just about destroyed me. I just could not get my breath. Once, one of the doors was opened half way through my wall balls and a breeze entered the gym, I could breath in the cooler air and my panic attack subsided!

    Great WOD just the same!

    Great work out there 6:30 crew! What a motivating group to workout out with!
    “Nutt'” What an intense WOD, pushing us to our limits and out of our comfort zones for sure!

    Did everything RX’ed except for the HSPU, used a 25# plate…perhaps next time I will try them without!!!

    27:18 with a pee break during the DU….I thought I could push through them without the interruption..but there are limits to exceeding ones comfort zone!!!

    Again, Koodos to the 6:30 crew who went so hard at it! Now lets bring it hard again tonight!

    Extra golf claps to Jeff and Karen who dug extra deep last night!
