    Happy/Frustrated with today’s workout. Happy because I had a PR of 5# doing shoulder press. Also, last time I did this workout I did 45# with thick yellow band. So, I went up 20# and went down in bands. Progress!

    Frustrated because I thought we could do kipping pullups with bands, as a scaled version but found out 1/2 through the 1st round that wasn’t the case. I had to go switch bands during WOD. Oh well…misunderstood.

    Great job 6am! It was impressive seeing the L pullups.

    2 min slower than last time but strict pullups make a huge difference from the kipping ones!!so I am fine with that!!

    First WOD with Push Jerks since last fall!!.. Yay! Progress, but, shoulder’s not 100% yet, so kept it fairly light – although by the 3rd set was feeling the fatigue/tightness.

    WOD 3 rounds:
    15 Push jerks (65% = 120#)
    15 L Pullups (Scale kipping pullups + 15 situps – I did 10 tuck pull ups on the 1st round)

    1:04 slower than last time but 10# heavier. I’ll blame the slower time on the pizza I ate last night 🙂

    – 60# first round
    – down to 55# 2nd round
    – changed to Shoulder press mixed with Push Press 45# for the last round
    15 Pullups (no kipping – med + sm purple bands)
    15 Sit ups

    My ankle is still very uncomfortable so I try to be careful. Can’t wait to be 100% me again!

    Did this in 11:39 in January @ 65# for most of it (started at 85 by mistake had to change out in 1st round) and I still remember what a miserable WOD it was. Guess today was better?

    15 strict pull ups. I started my first round with tuck strict pullups, but after 8 of them I decided to switch to strict pull ups because I knew that I would never finish if I didn’t switch.

    This was a tough WOD for me, but I am so happy that I did all my pull ups strict. I think I will do these in my warm up more often!

    Laura had a great first WOD! We went to see Chris de Burgh tonight and her arms are so sore she could barely clap! lol!! Great concert! She thought everyone was very friendly, encouraging and very helpful at the gym today.Hopefully, she will start writing her own results soon enough.
