    First off, thanks to everyone who’s posted comments on the Scotiabank Challenge site. They will certainly help the judges narrow down the finalists.

    30lb PR today. Would have liked to try 145# again cause I jerked it up 1st time. But with push press yesterday and Jerks in the WOD today, I didn’t have anything left πŸ™

    I Β knew this wouldn’t be easy BUT I didn’t think it would be this hard on me! Great workout!! Awesome job AM class – nice working out with you Gilles as always!

    VERY frustrated with my form on my cleans this morning. No focus on getting under the bar at all, so they were much harder than they should have been. Will work on them at the next Sunday open gym.

    Time: 7:07 ….. HOWEVER, this is not a true WOD time. πŸ˜•
    I was VERY focused on getting comfortable with the cleans before the WOD, since the last time I did them I strained my back…. THEN, for the 1st round of the WOD (and part of the 2nd), I FORGOT the JERKS!! πŸ˜•
    Lost time just trying to refocus … then got back on track and restarted round 2.

    Good news is that I feel like my cleans are MUCH improved… AND this was a 10# increase in weight from Dec…AND still got a great workout! πŸ™‚

    Cashout…. spiderman lunge stretch (30 sec x4)

    Thanks for the encouragement everyone! You’ll all really enjoy this WOD. Took me over 20 minutes to recover.

    A reminder to everyone of the post-games/UFC Party at our place on Saturday night. Come one come all, as Heidi said “This isn’t just a sausage party!” Hope to see you all at our place! It’ll be a great way to celebrate surviving this years Open!

    Big shout out to Shelly and Alissa who did their first Clean and Jerk workout today and did great πŸ™‚ Welcome aboard Alissa – it’s great to have you with us!

    WU x 2 (pullups on red band, only 10 pushups on toes – the rest from my knees… Started working on toes to rings tonight too – did ten, the rest were situps) Just came back from a massage therapy session, so I will go easier today not to get hurt…

    Strength push press 5s

    45 WU, 55-65-70-75-80 (felt pretty good, but need to focus on keeping my core tight and not leaning back in my dip.)

    10 burpees

    time 5:40 (felt pretty good, except for the burpees – need to get use to those again! Got a little wobbly on a couple of my jerks – need to build my arm and shoulder strength again…

    Marcel – you kicked ass on 11.6 πŸ™‚ It was great to watch!

    Rob and Gabriel – you fought hard and did awesome on your workouts πŸ™‚ I know the fatigue is setting in from the Games workouts, but hang in there! You’re doing great and I just know you will finish strong.
