Wall space

Wall space

With the new gym, we will have a lot of wall space that needs to be filled. Tracy came up with a challenge to ask members what should be put on the wall.

Some gyms have their name spray painted. Some have a logo. Some have a slogan.

What’s your input?

Also, we only have 7 days left to vote for the ScotiaBank Challenge.

    mmmm chocolate.

    I like Jeff’s idea.
I’d like to see Pukie make an appearance and a small one painted around the corner of the building outside…
These two pictures would be great on 2 of the bay doors, with Crossfit Moncton on the others. The statements at the top of the page would be great on the walls.
A cat on the wall with a red line through it(use your imagination)

    “Rob goes here”
“Crossfit Moncton, where easy will no longer suffice”
Everytime you miss a crossfit workout, god kills a kitten

    “For a good time call
    Fran 21-15-9”
“Go home and tell your mom you are a man now”
“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better”
“If Crossfit was easy, it’d be your mom”—this one is amazing.

Lots of ideas on the T-shirt site from Rob.

    I like these ones:

    “Raise the Bar”
    “Punish your Weakness”

When I first started CF, I was told this one that stuck with me:

“Pain is just the weakness leaving your body”

Two things for you this morning,
A quote frm Marco from 2 hours ago while getting out of bed
“man do my flabdominals hurt, thanks 11.5”

    A more serious note,

“Courage isn’t an absence of fear. It’s doing what you are afraid to do. It’s having the power to let go of the familiar and forge ahead into new territory.”
    ~John Maxwell

I think this one really applies to what we do at crossfit.

“Some people dream of great accomplishments, while others stay awake and do them.”

So far I vote on Tracey’s ” pain is just the weakness leaving the body”
    Marco’s “courage…..new territory ”
Kevin’s “courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway”

I Feel the last 2 quotes INSPIRE newbies to join! And the first one is a quote I would love to look at just as I am about to give up and INSPIRE me to truck on!!

A quote that alludes/demonstrates/describes in a one-line fashion the CROSSFIT MONCTON FAMILY/COMMMUNITY I believe is important! I’m certain other gyms have this feeling but I’m partial to think that CFM has it best!!!

So all great awesome ideas – cool cartoons, kettle bell targets for wall balls (you could have various random sketches of people or things we could aim our Med balls at such as clown, logo of a different gym, Santa, the word “work”… I don’t know )- and maybe 3 quotes that sum up what we need (1) inspire a newbie, (2) Inspire and fire up the athlete, (3) proud of our community.

Have a good day. Flabdominals are okay, it’s my whole back that is sore…

  6. Patrick

I’d like to see this on the wall: “Today I am stronger than yesterday”

Also I can paint a few cfmoncton logos across a wall that can be used as wall balls targets

And i would LOVE to see a giant painting on one of the walls

I like that quote, Pat. That gets my vote. πŸ™‚

Targets for wall balls and a pic of pukie where we can all sign when we meet him are a must.

  7. Jeff

    “Mechanics, Consistency, Intensity”

“Fitness. Increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains.”

“CrossFit. Constantly varied high intensity functional movement.”

    8. Agility
