CrossFit Games Open 11.2

Don’t forget to submit your scores on the Games Site by 9pm tonight.

10:00am – Rules and announcements of the heats
10:15am – The first heat begins and continues every 15 minutes

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 15 minutes of:

9 Deadlifts (155/100#)
12 Pushups with hand release
15 Box Jumps (24/20″)

Box jumps can gas you. Be careful!

    Very satisfied with myself, was hoping for 6 and was just shy of 8 rounds.

    Great job everyone, saw lots of great efforts & performances, great vibe in the gym as always!

    Also, thanks everyone there who cheered us, I heard my name a few times during the workout, always motivating!

    6 rounds, plus 9 Deadlift and 7 Pushups
    Total reps –> 232

    I started very fast and really took the air right out of me by the end of the 2nd round.
    I had a goal of at least 6 rounds so very pleased.

    Superb atmosphere today at the Gym! Wish I could have stayed to take it all in, darn work!

    = 6 rounds + 9 DL’s + 2 pushups
    = 227

    Really happy with this…was only expecting 4 rounds or so. Thanks for the great judging, Heather!
    On another good note, I tried a few plank pushups before the workout and didn’t have much shoulder pain so I’m excited and hopeful that I can get back into those soon. I probably could have done them in the workout today (and would have happily taken a 3 or 4 round result sacrifice to be able to) but didn’t want to injure it further.
    It was a really fun morning at the gym.

      Next year you will do the push ups as prescribed. You are doing the right thing by listening to your body. Good job today!

    6 rounds + 9 DLs + 12 Pushups + 13 Box jumps
    = 250 I think

    Not sure how I feel about this. Set a goal of 7 rounds but I really gassed out early – and not cause I came out the gate guns a’ blazing… Just cause maybe I was nervous. invited lots of peeps (friends,patients, and julie) to come see the atmosphere at our gym and just got nervous BUT it was fun, exciting, hand had a great workout, and I overcame my fear of those 155# Deadlifts… (I was dreading those). Now I want to learn Kevin and Pierre’s technique for Box Jumps… cant wait to learn it.

    Congrats to all that competed and Thanks to the Judges for taking the time to make sure we did it right. Thanks Pierre. I know your prolly not supposed to cheer me on but your words of encouragement were constant motivators, and I appreciate it.

    This was my first time doing plank pushups in a WOD, apparently I should have started doing these a long time ago!
