Peigi was awesome. I’m glad that moment was caught on camera. I got to chat with her for a few minutes, she told me the story of joining CrossFit…
Her son wanted her to start doing something (exercise related) so unbeknown to him, she bought herself the fundamentals classes as a Christmas present for him. He showed up for his CrossFit class one day, and there she was, warming up for her workout.
    Love it!

They are a great family! Alex competed at sectionals and regionals this year. Peigi is always a nervous wreck cheering on her son, Alex and all of her CFK “kids”. It was awesome to be able to cheer for Peigi on Saturday.

Wow! Just checked the CF Moncton site and can’t believe all your kind comments!
The Hopper was a blast and I really appreciated the great hospitality, words of encouragement and hugs! from total strangers!! I am beginning to realize, though, that Crossfitters are one big family who are proud of everyone’s accomplishments (big or little). It took me 56 years to take part in an athletic event. I think I was just waiting for the best one – the Moncton Hopper (great job everyone!)
I look forward to next year and hope to see more over 50’s competing! Start working on your parents now!!

I’ve been trying to get my mom and dad to come for about a year now – I’m not giving up, but goodness they’re hard to sway!!
