Unique Opportunity

Yesterday, I was contacted by the organizer for the opening ceremonies of World Jr. Track and Field Event. He has requested that CrossFit Moncton be a part of the opening ceremonies. Just to give you an idea of the size of the event, there will be 2000 athletes from 170 countries coming to compete. This event will be televised worldwide!

The opening will be culturally based, and they’re requesting 30 of us to help. Basically, we have to carry a gigantic lobster around the field. We would have 2-3 rehearsals and the opening night is July19th at 6pm.

Let me know if you can help out as I have to let him know by Monday morning.

    Hey all. If you have no plans for Friday, our HTHS teacher rock band, Bored of Education, is playing at O’Brien’s in Lewisvillle around 9 or 9:30. I play, Jane’s brother Greg plays, and two other teachers make up the band. All are welcome!

    Hi Kevin…I’m not going to be able to make my 4:15 today. We’re going to pick up our new rescued lab tonight in Enfield after work. Sorry (you’ve got us all in suspense though…I want to know what the mystery WOD is!)

    Ummmmm…at 5am I saw the WOD and now it’s MIA!! I’m not found of mysteries, they scare me! Just seriously saying, that’s all.

    Thanks Krista. I cannot believe that I completed 90 burpees in 15 minutes. Next time I will get the 100 in 15 minutes. You did awsesome Krista!!!
    Way to go Gabrielle; I knew you were gonna get this one in under 15 minutes!!!!

    I was completely amazed at the level of fitness I saw in action tonight. Incredible strength and stamina. Congrats to ALL. Dan, Melanie and Amanda (630pm) you totally “rocked my socks”

    83 at the 15 minute mark. Then Gabrielle had the brilliant idea that I should finish the work out. Has anyone tried to say no to her? Needless to say, I finished it in 19:45 with the 5:30 crew…and most of the 6:30 crew cheering me on…Thanks guys! I am glad I finished it, Gabrielle you were right…again!

      I think what you did was much harder than what we did and you totally rocked it 🙂 So, so proud of you! And, you got a PR on your deadlifts before the WOD – Fantastic!!!
