Stick it to ya!

You may (or may not) have noticed a new addition to the gym. It’s “The Stick”, a toothbrush for muscles.

What does it do? It’s basically a self-massage that delivers myofascial release and trigger point therapy. It will compress and stretch the muscle to improve blood flow and accelerate recovery. It will help prevent muscle injuries and improve your flexibility. And if you let me use it on you, you might even wince.

To use it, just grab the handles and rub back and forth over the area you want massaged. It’s great for getting at hamstrings and calves, where the foam roller is not adequate.

    Tip – do NOT let Kevin use it on you. Not only will you wince..you’ll probably be reduced to painful tears..trust me

    i was gunning for under 1hr 20 – and i got 1:18:11
    that put me 5th place woman overall, and 2nd place in my age group (the first place overall woman is in my age group- means i must get faster!)

    nice to see some other crossfitters out there – way to go Jane (CF F’ton), Janine (CF Bathurst) and Sean (well, sometimes a CFer 🙂 )

      Awesome results Krista!!! Wish I could have seen you cross the finish line but you were just too fast and my job wasn’t done yet!! So proud of you 🙂

    thanks guys!
    i’m really happy with the results especially as this is only my second duathlon (and i bet with the exception of jane from F’ton, no other girls can probably put triple digits over their heads 🙂 )
