Coming up this weekend…

Saturday, August 29th…mark it on your calendar. Heather (mom) is hosting a CrossFit Moncton pool party. Members and significant others can show up any time after 1pm. For directions, ask Heather or Kevin at the gym.

Also, as a pre-fundraiser for the Fight Gone Bad 4 event, we’ll be hosting a Poker Night at CrossFit Moncton. Anyone is invited to come. Half of the earnings will be donated to the event, while the other half goes to the winner. The gym will be open at 8pm with game time at 8:30pm. We’re going to shoot for 3 games at $10 each. Come for one, two or all three games. No experience needed.

    Big numbers were thrown up this morning. Can the evening crew keep up?

    I hopped aboard the pain train this morning. Instead, I did Fat Cindy. It’s the same as regular Cindy, but with a 20# vest.

    AMRAP in 20 min of:
    5 Pull-ups
    10 Push-ups
    15 Squats

    12 rounds + 5 pullups

    Those pushups were the worst. I wasn’t expecting 12 rounds, but the pullups and squats were smooth.

    CFWU x 3 ( minus 1 round of pull ups and push ups) – After a lot of playing hard to get, my knees finally got back together with my elbows this morning!!

    Wow… nakedness… too good thing I’ll be in Toronto LOL

    Kevin I don’t know if I’ll be back in town for the 5:30 workout or not, but I’m going to try to make it… I noticed there are still two spots left – I won’t reserve because there are no garantees, so if I can make it, I’ll just show (if there’s room great if there isn’t, that’ll be ok too)

    Sorry won’t able to make the 5H30 or the 6H30… birthday party for my nephew… will go for 5k run later and may try a home version of Cindy – stay tuned…

    Jane – I have no idea what a K2E is but if it relates to crossfit I’m sure it was hard and deserves congratulations! Good job! πŸ™‚

    AMRAP in 20 min of:
    -5 pull ups
    – 10 push up
    – 15 squats

    Score: 17 + 10 push up (but I think I forgot one set of squat, so let’s say 17 rounds)
    Push up were killer…and I had a hard time to breathe….more cardio than you think!! ehhehe!

    It was hard but I am happy I did this WOD with the vest. That brings a whole new way of making the bodyweight exercises harder!

    5.5 km run 32:10 (two hour birthday party break and then…)

    Modified Cindy (Pullovers to substitute pullups 20lbs)
    AMRAP 20 minutes
    5 pullovers
    10 pushups
    15 squats

    17 rounds and 2 pullovers… my pullovers I’m sure were much easier than the pullups, but I’m a sweaty out of breath mess!

    I’ve been “zoning” for a week and a day now… can’t wait to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
