Many Thanks!

Many Thanks!

First off, thank you to all the volunteers! Without you, the event wouldn’t have been as seamless.

Thank you to all the CrossFitters that came out to support this first annual event! There were some amazing feats of performance that happened this weekend, and I’m glad to have been there to witness them. What was even more amazing was the amount of people that got their first muscle-ups, or were damn close, after the event!

Thanks for CrossFit Bathurst, CrossFit Fredericton and CrossFit Dieppe for providing equipment for the event. It goes to show that we have such a great community that are willing to help each other and provide any support when needed.

Thanks to MegaWraps for proving delicious wraps. I’d love to hear any feedback from on the food.

A big thank you goes out all the spectators, who drove in from all over the Maritimes to cheer on their friends and family. I was in awe at the amount of support and encouragement that everyone gave.

And thank you to my mom for facing her fears and competing. She was extremely nervous and told me she didn’t want to disappoint me if she didn’t do well during the event. Seeing her cross the finish line brought tears to my eyes, and further reinforces the fact that if you believe you CAN, you WILL achieve! Thanks to everyone who supported her in her efforts.

Well, I believe the First Annual Atlantic Hopper Event went fairly well. There were a few things that could use improvement, and I welcome any comments or feedback that will help make this event bigger and better for next year.

Thank you all so much! I feel great to be part of the CrossFit Community!

Kevin, Thank you for believing in me and pushing me to keep going when I doubt myself. I would never have accomplished any of this without your encouragement. Thank you to everyone there for cheering me on. I felt the great support and it was amazing. The whole event attests to the community spirit of Crossfit and how all competitores, organizers, volunteers, and supporters work so well together.

Great turnout and amazing energyโ€ฆ if the 1st annual had that much support, I can only imagine the buzz that will surround next years. Great work Kevin, way to dream it up and make it a reality!

Heather: Way to push outside your comfort zone, very inspirational!!
Charlie and Anna: Nice to see you again!! Wishes for a safe return home to Sweden.

Kevin (and Crossfit Moncton) – although I did not compete and only had the pleasure to watch and snap a few shots, I still want to tell you guys how awesome of an experience this was! LOTS of fun! The event went smoothly and the team spirit coming from everyone was outstanding!

Kevin, watching your mom compete was such a great motivation for everyone one out there (including me who was still a little too intimidated to compete!)

It was nice to meet everyone and put faces to the names! Good job everyone!

Kevin (and Crossfit Moncton) You guys put on a hell of first event. Smooth, Fun, you even controlled the weather! Excellent.

What a great experience with lots of memories, new friends, and lots of funny photos. A competition that intense, yet fun. How many other sports can say that!

I would change a thing for next year and can’t wait to see you all again soon!

  7. As I said before – it was an awesome event. Usually traveling for competitions leaves you drained and tired, but the energy from everyone at the event left us feeling pumped on the way home. Great job.

Congrats to Heather who conquered her fear of competing and threw down an excellent performance!! That’s how we grow as people – move outside your comfort zone one step at a time. Heather, you’re an inspiration to a lot of people – we have members who have joined our gym in Fredericton after meeting you and seeing your pictures on CrossFit Moncton’s website. Keep up the good work!!

Kevin, the wraps were good, but for myself personally I would have done better with some fresh fruit. My mouth was dry after that last 200m sprint!!

Thank you Kevin and all the volunteers for organizing and hosting a fantastic event. It was my first time taking part in an “official” CrossFit event, thanks to you and all the competitors for making it so memorable and rewarding. Can’t wait for next year…when I won’t be scaling! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Everything was GREAT. Such a great experience…was my first time competing in such an event and when I first arrived I thought my “jitters” were going to overpower me…but once I saw all the support of the people around the “jitters” just seemed to disappear. As a new group starting out…Crossfit Bathurst did well, and I am proud of you all. Was great meeting all the other Crossfit teams and look forward to seeing you all again in the future! Great job Kevin and all the volunteers!!!!! Still dont know the guys name on the mat that was giving the encouragement…..BUT a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did not get to try a wrap…I was so physically exhausted I just could not eat…but I am sure they were delicious!!!!
