1 Year Anniversary

Today marks the one year anniversary of CrossFit Moncton. It’s seems so long ago that we were working out at Queen Elizabeth School playground. The sun was hot and the bugs were bad.

Thanks to everyone that has come out to support CrossFit Moncton, especially to those who have stuck with it. It is my hope to serve you for many more years to come.

    wentworth 70km enduro mtb race
    -due to marking, this ended up being a 77km race for me (had a slight detour along the way – sean and about 20 or so others also made the same mistake, some had longer mistakes, up to 90km)

    my goal was 70km under 5 hours
    – with the detour i was at the 70km mark at 4 hour 47
    – my total 76.8km was 5 hours 10 minutes -so very happy

    (that is unofficial time, my ride time recorded on garmin, not including the stops to find my way or at the 2 food stations along the way)

    oh yeah, and did i mention 1235 meters of ascent (and really fun descent) along the way!

    My workout today was more leisure than work. Baymount needed some extra help at the Rocks, so I lead 2 kayak tours today for 4 hours. Lots of wind made for lots of waves, so we got to surf them on the way back.

    Congrats on year one. It seems so long ago and you have come so far. I agree with Rob and Patrick that you set the tone for an inviting environment but I could be a bit biased. See you at 6:00am.
