February 18 workout

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute… continuing as long as you are able.

Use as many sets each minute as needed.

    rest day for me – death by pull ups will have to wait for another day

    i made a really great breakfast today and thought i’d share – banana split!
    1/4c cottage cheese
    1/2c natural organic yogurt
    1/2c fresh strawberry
    1/4c fresh pineapple
    1/3 of a banana
    tiny sprinkle of slow cook raw oats
    almonds
    cinnamon

    zone: 3 block breakfast – there’s only 2 block protein listed (i ran out of cottage cheese so ate 1oz cheese after)

    Nice healthy breakfast, zone cookies.. Krista you are a good chef!!! 🙂 I should try your breakfast recipe, i am getting tired of the eggs.

    sorry sean, i’m away for saturday’s WOD.. next time

    MC – you’ll get that pull up practice that you wanted tonight to get full ones by the end of the month. use those hips! and yup, i like to cook, i get that from my mom – she ROCKS in the kitchen.

    I feel for you folks doing crazy amounts of pull-ups tonight. Wow. Good thing Kevin didn’t post that last night. So, this is what my w/o consisted of:
    Julie’s WOD
    10-minute massage on lower back
    10-minute massage on upper back
    15-minute massage on right shoulder and arm
    15-minute massage on left shoulder and arm
    10-minute massage on neck
    Time: 60 minutes of total relaxation :-)and
    after yesterdays w/o…this massage felt amazing; soothing; wonderful; restful; I could go on-and-on, but I won’t keep “rubbing” it in. 🙂

    I’ll catch up with you all on Friday.

    HA HA! Rubbing it in! I get it!

    So I decided to play with the crew tonight. Managed to get 17 rounds + 16 pullups. Just 2 away from getting 18. The limiting factor was my hands. My right one was starting to rip, so I did the last few rounds with my fingers.

    AND, Krista emailed me today and said I should really do the workout from yesterday. I had no intention of doing it…but you know me…I won’t turn down a challenge.

    So after doing 169 pullups, I did –
    Five rounds for time of:
    95 pound Shoulder press, 5 reps
    95 pound Push press, 10 reps
    95 pound Push jerk, 15 reps

    23:46 (and it was painful from the first shoulder press to the last push jerk)

    WOD:

    Death by pullups

    18 rounds + 18 pullups (PR)

    I didn’t use chalk..and I think it was better that way. My right hand ripped open a bit on round 13 but that’s it. I missed by 1 rep round 19…that’s make me angry!! 🙂

    Strength: Front Squat
    1-55 1-75 1-85 1-95 1-105 PR and same as my back squat PR.

    WOD: Death by pull up! (with green band)

    14 rounds + 14 pulls up!! Almost 15 rounds!

    Practice: 2 Handstand push up with green and yellow band.
