New hours for September

Starting September 2, the workouts in the park will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8pm and Saturdays from 9-10am. I hope this doesn’t cause too much distress in people’s schedules.

    Hey! Anyone out there think that “Murph” might be a good thing to try on a Monday? Well, I went out to our playgound at lunch today and gave it a whirl, by the way, they mowed the grass Jeanette, you will be pleased!

    All Jumping Pull-ups, working on the negatives, did 150 Pushups, switched to squats for 30 as my arms stopped working, finished push-ups, did the 270 Squats and towards the end I could actually hear Kevin saying “deeper” “deeper” that was wierd, must have been the heat. The two sticks of lead and concrete I had to drag around the final mile run was painful to say the least.

    Eric – Nice work! It is a little creepy though that you heard my voice. That looks like my time the first time I did Murph.

  3. Hahah! Mowed grass is better, I guess… I still hate that loop though. There’s gotta be a better way!

    When I did “Murph” in May I broke up the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats and did 20 rounds of “Cindy.” My time then was 52:58. I’m not sure if I’ll tackle this big fella tonight… we’ll see. Might be fun.

    Run 800 meters
    65 pound Push press, 21 reps

    65 pound Push Jerk, 21 reps

    That was Jeanette that posted the above workout.

    I did Murph and I hated it. Absolutely disgusting.

    I split the exercises into manageable chunks. 10 rounds of 10 pullups, 20 pushup and 30 squats.

    Time – 44:53

    Hey guys!!

    Kevin: Good job for ”Murph” awesome time with 44:53!!!! I didn`t beat your time… 🙁

    Jeanette: Your shoulders were probably really sore after those 65 pounds reps…. seems hard. Good job.

    Eric: I want to thank you because you posted your time before I went to do it…so it was a good benchmark for me….I pushed hard to beat it.

    Here how I split it:
    I split the Pull-ups and the Push-ups by chunks of 20 and I did 3 rounds of 100 squats.

    For a time of: 50:18 w/o bodyarmour

    IMO, it was hard but not as hard as ”Angie”….the hardest part of this one was the push-ups and the last 1 mile run.

    Good job everybody…
    This was my first time with “Murph”.
    Did the workout as fallow:

    1 mile run
    100 pull-ups, 10 sets of 10
    200 push-ups, 10 sets of 20
    300 squats, 10 sets of 30
    1 mile run

    Total time of 51:34 min

    Not bad concidering the amount of beer I consumed this past weekend. 😀
